Why can't you cancel a reservation on MDE?

Quick question. Whenever I have tried to cancel a reservation on MDE, I get a message saying "Cancellation for this dining event is not available online". Well, if that is the case, why have the link?

I know. I have three I have to cancel. Hate taking the time to call Disney Dining just to cancel something.
