We've returned from our first Disneyland trip and fell in love with those wonderful hand-dipped corny dogs sold at Disneyland and California Adventure--we had one every single day. Why on earth can't WDW have those yummy treats?

What exactly do you mean by corny dogs? Just corn dogs? If you are talking about corn dogs, there is a stand that sells them at the boardwalk, and they are quite excellent! :goodvibes

Haven't had what you're talking about, but we do pick up some of the corn dog nuggets that they sell at Casey's on Main Street (MK). We like those!

Casey's on Main Street has the best corn dog nuggets.....Yum, I am craving them now..I love them:love:

The corn dog nuggets at Casey's are good, but the OP is right, there is nothing at WDW in the parks themselves that can compare to the incredible corn dogs served from the little red wagon on Main Street at Disneyland. I haven't tried the ones from the Boardwalk. But at Disneyland, since they are handdipped and not frozen, they are just so good, and the corn part of the dog is like the ones I used to have at the state fairs in Texas when I was a kid. Imagine my extreme sadness my first trip to WDW when that red wagon wasn't where I just assumed it would be! That's the great thing about Disneyland/WDW, they are both famous for some unique things so its fun to go to both parks and see the differences. Oh and the ones over at DCA are really good too at the Corn Dog Castle buth there's just something about getting them from that cute little wagon over in Disneyland that makes them super special. Three weeks from tonight and I'll be eating one myself!

Disneyland also has the Mickey shaped hot pretzels and the chimichanga carts I haven't seen at WDW.

I don't think that the Corn Dogs at the Boardwalk are frozen, but i'm not positive on that. They are sold from a wagon, and they are soooooooooo good. I could eat one every day!! They are fried, and they do take about 10 minutes or so to get...but awesome!! They are kind of crispish on the outside and perfect on the inside...I highly recommend them!! I will be eating one on Thanksgiving this year, yummy!!

A few days ago I was watching the Travel channel and there was a show on about "seaside" treats. One was a small chain that hand dipped hot dogs into a corn meal batter and then freshly fried them. It sounds like the the stand at DCA is a take off of this. I have never seen something similiar on the east coast, so I imagine it might be a west coast type thing. Here at WDW we are limited to Turkey legs. :)

Checking in again as I daydream about those darn corn dogs. Yes, as DVC Members at Beach Club, we've endulged at the Boardwalk stand, but it's not anything like those scrumtious dogs at Disneyland. They are outstanding!

Yummy. Hand dipped corn dogs. Sounds like a reason to fly cross-country and visit DL to me. :)

They make those hand dipped corn dogs at Kennywood Park in Pittsburgh, and Idlewild too. I get one every year...so good!

I'll tell you what. You WDW folks convince DLR to adopt your Fantasmic Dinner Package. That way, instead of a box with 3 or 4 cookies, a mickey rice krispy bar, and two chocolate covered strawberries for $60 per person to sit in the reserved section, we can have a full meal for about $30.

And we'll convince WDW to have our corndogs AND teach em how to make a Monte Cristo properly.
