that's what my son asked when we got to the pool today and it was closed for the third time this summer for an "unsanitary accident". :rotfl2:

Ewwwww!!!!

Was Asst. Groundskeeper Carl (Bill Murray) cleaning it up? :teeth:

That happened in our old town a couple summers ago, about once/week some showed up in the pool. After about the 5th time closing they found that some kids were throwing dog poop over the fence.

Where on earth are you staying? Yuk! ::cop: Time to add a Poop Patrol.....

We get that question a lot around here. We've had all manner of poop, both human and er..animal, in our community pool. And it's not quite as funny when we have to close it for things like that because people call and yell at DH (the HOA board pres).

Boy howdy.... do I understand that one!

I'm the president of our POA (HOA)... the pool is the biggest pain in the neck isn't it? Today I'm meeting a fellow to put the drain covers back on. We've had a string of vandalism... AFTER hours ... they jump the barbed wire fence..

1. Clogged the toilet
2. Found some cinder blocks and threw them in the pool.
3. Cracked one drain cover... stole the other... (the HAD to be working at this over the course of days - as it takes forever to unscrew them!)
4. Toilet paper "bombs" all over the lawn and bathroom..

And that's just in the past week.. :confused3

The POA member who's been taking care of the pool is going on vacation .. and has told another board member .. she's "dropping the pool in my lap" .. for the rest of the summer.... GOLLY... it's gonna be a LONG July/August... laugh....

Tell your hubby he's not alone in aggravating service to his community!

Seriously, I don't understand this problem. Our community pool has been closed three times so far this year because of this. My children are teenagers now but we never had this happen with them when they were younger. My thought is that if a child is young enough to have this type of accident, he is too young to be in the pool by himself. You would think that the parent or adult in charge would be aware that the child is having a BM. I just get so disgusted with this type of behavior.

The All Star Music pool was closed 4 different times we were there last month. We never did figure out why even tho we thought maybe it was for "unsanitary" conditions, too.

Funny this is posted here today ... we had to get kids out of our pool at home yesterday - my five year old nephew pooped!

I can't even begin to tell you how p***ed dh was! His mother (ds) made it even worse - "I'm sure he didn't do it on purpose " - she didn't punish him!

Oh these different parenting styles drive me nuts!

I should probably change my ealier post on this problem. I assumed this problem came from very young children who aren't potty trained yet. I am sorry but I can't believe that a five year old would not have enough control and awareness of his body that he would let this happen. I think there is a huge and disgusting problem if someone who has control chooses to deficate in public. (If the child is sick, that is another issue.)

Obviously, I don't know your nephew but it truely could have been an accident. If kids are swallowing pool water which most of them do it can have a laxative effect. Also, some kids mistake bodily signs and think it's gas when it's not. There are many children that get so engrossed in playing that they just don't pay attention to their own bodies. The only reason I'm coming to the defense of the child is that I know 5 & 6 yo kids that have had this type of accident on a very rare occasion. It's mortifying to them and the last thing they need is to be punished.

That makes sense CEDmom. I have to poop every time I swim and never knew why. But I do make it to the bathroom. :teeth:

I was swimming one time and i had on my goggles, ok go ahead and laugh i admit they did look funny on, and i looked down and it looked like well... poo and i asked mom what it was and she did not know, i dont think i swam for the rest of the day.
