Why can't I modify online?

For some reason this room only reservation has to be modified via phone call instead of online. Does anyone know why some can be modified or cancelled on the Website and others you have to call? 45 minute wait on hold.

Call back in later or tomorrow I had no wait when I called back

This started a couple of months ago not sure why but it extremely annoying.

I called and only waited 20 mins when they said it would be a 45 min wait. I got lucky!

Because your reservation is room only
Right now, only packages can be modified online.
No clue why the change
No clue if it's perm or temp
Things like this have happened before though this has lasted longer and impacted more than in the past, both bad signs if you want it to return.
I'm not giving up though

I can confirm! The "change reservation" option is back for my November room only reservation (on the website only, not the app)!

Anyone else still having issues with modifying online? I made a room only reservation by calling in a few days ago, before the 2023 rooms were dropped today, and there is no change or cancel button. Yes, I am aware it doesn't show up on the app....I am on my desktop and on the MDE website.

Nope, I have Modify button on my reservation for July 4th weekend, room only.
It works. I've been using it to look for a different room type several times a day

A bit off topic, but are you seeing 2023 availability? I have been checking all morning and while it now lets me put in my dates, no rooms or packages show. I have altered dates, resorts, devices, and browsers.

I booked 2 different rooms just about 15 min ago
One for MLK week and one for March 11th weekend

ETA - booked using Chrome/PC. Just about every resort/room type is available for the 2 trips I was searching for.

A bit off topic, but are you seeing 2023 availability? I have been checking all morning and while it now lets me put in my dates, no rooms or packages show. I have altered dates, resorts, devices, and browsers.

yes, I can see availability, but I think it only goes until Oct 2023 (500 days out), so anything after that will be added on a day to day basis.

The do but I booked packages for those trips.
While hubby and I have APs now, I'm not 100% we will come next year plus DGD will be with us on one of the trips and she does not have a ticket.
Plus, $200 vs full night at rack rate.
I figure promos will come out between now and the so odds are they'll change any way
So, it may be different for a room only

I did not have the modify online button for m 2023 room only as of this morning, I had to call to cancel it.
My package does have the modify online button for 2023.

thanks! I am just thinking ahead for when discounts come out....how annoying it will be that this reservation won't allow me to modify online. Hopefully Disney IT decides to turn that feature back on before 2023!

Cancel/modify option is gone again. It was great while it lasted. I'm checking for discounts for my upcoming trips so I hope the option comes back soon.
