why cant I get onto the us disney site???

I have been looking at deals for the end august next year and I have heard that if you book through the US site they will refund the deposit if you have to cancel.Last year I booked through the UK site and unfortunatley had to cancel due to personal reasons so I lost the deposit and they wouldnt carry it over to 2010. One problem everytime I log on and even click on the us site/english it shows everthing in pounds.Is this right or am I doing something wrong? Also is it any different in price booking through the US? Looking to do a week or so onsite after 5 days off.Thanks guys Been off for a while so good to be back and planning

Also if you ever get redirected to the UK site click the "visit US Site" link on the left at the top and it drops a cookie so you can view everything on the US site This seems to be a problem when people want to ask questions at www.disneyworldmoms.com as lots of people don't see the link to click when they get redirected!

i think they can only carry it forward if prices are out, my parents just cancelled this years and carried it over for next without penalty

Thanks guys.Have done this and now it is sayin only quoting till dec 31st 09? Surely if british site quoting for next year US one is.
I already tried clickin on the us site at the bottom of the UK site and it still gives me UK prices.
Just thought I bed american site doesnt do free dining??
Looking to do 4 nightrs universal /off site and 10 and OKW leaving aug 25th so booking in do disney aug 29th.

No not available to book thru .com yet, only available until end of 2009. Only way to book is on .co.uk now.
Your deposit will be fully refundable on .com, on .co.uk you would lose the £50pp deposit on cancellation but this year prices on .com were upto 3 times price of .co.uk, our 16 nights at OKW incl 3x 21 day & DDP tix cost £2,164 similar on .com was about £6,000(only 10 day tix). Even when .com offered free DDP it still worked out at £4,000, double UK price.

Have you compared prices on the 2 sites this year to get an idea of difference in price?
