RIV studio availability

Given the availability that has been observed at Disney's Riviera Resort since it opened, I would not suggest purchasing with the expectation of always being able to secure a Deluxe Studio - Standard View. While designated as a Standard/Resort View, the higher floors offer nighttime views of Luminous at EPCOT, making them quite popular.

They are occasionally walked but I have never had a problem booking one. It did seem like a bloodbath trying to get one for early December 2025 however. I remember looking at the talk on here back in January. Granted, that seemed to be the case for a lot of resorts. Studios were even booking up at AKL.

Early December is a rough time for standard view Studios. But when I checked and purchased two months ago, they still had week 49 and 50 preferred weeks available.

Sorry, what I meant was, if you want to vacation in a RIV standard view studio regularly during the first two weeks in December, I would highly advise purchasing one of the remaining fixed weeks vs taking your chances at 8 am getting a week that time of year.

I definitely don't think the preferred view is preferred, nor is it worth the points premium. That's why standard view rooms are pretty much gone within the owner's booking window. Unlike at resorts like Animal Kingdom Lodge where the points premium is actually worth it and the demand is a bit more balanced.
