Why can't I check availability on DVC website?

The "check availability" button does not work this am. Tried two different browsers. Had the same problem part of yesterday. What is going on?

I noticed that too. I had no problems yesterday and I was on it several times. Maybe today they are doing updates. I am hoping it will be up and running at 9:00 a.m.

I'm having problems too.

Trying to book a reservation, and can get all the way through it.
It comes back saying my reservation is confirmed, but the is a box with MS info covering up the area that should show the conf#.

I go to travel plans, and it's not there.

I try again, but I borrowed points, and now those borrowed points are tied up in my non-existent reservation. A few minutes later, they are back, and I try again, and get the same result.

It's as if I'm hitting cancel, but I'm not.

Not looking forward to a long wait on the phones for MS!

Having the same problem. That website is the pits. We just bought into DVC last month while on a cruise and I have had all sorts of issues since. I get errors that I'm trying to book too many days even if it's only one day. I got an error stating that I wasn't in my booking window, but I was. At midnight, it lets me select a date 11 months out, but it won't actually search for it until 8 am. :headache:

On the plus side:

I called MS at 9am, got in without any wait, talked to an excellent MS person, and got the reservation I wanted.

The 11 month reservation priority is not in effect until 8:00am that day (and the same for 7 months at non-home resorts). Online booking still gives members an advantage over waiting to call when MS opens but the reservation priority does not begin at midnight.

Same thing here. You can get to the booking engine using the navigation bar up top. Hover over My Vacations and the link is there.

I understand that, which is why it makes no sense to have the date pop up at midnight and then say that the person attempting to book it is trying to book too many days. Why not have the date pop up when you can actually book it? I understand the way it is now, but I was confused and frustrated initially, as I'm sure there are other newbies experiencing the same frustration.

I too am missing the "Book Now" button and thought it was because I have NOT paid my dues yet.

At least I am not the only one to notice this.

I also had trouble earlier and I had to bounce around the site to finally book. Let me see if I can find where I found it earlier !:)

Got it! Okay, so go to the top right tab "My vacations" and then under "book online" click "Disney World Vacation Resorts" and it took me to our usual booking screen. GL! :)

Recently, there were a few times when I logged in and there were no links for online booking for Disney Vacation Club Resorts (not on the menu and not through the link to the vacation center). I logged out and back in again and they appeared again. This has only happened to me recently.

I have been having so much trouble today. I wanted to check availability for dates 11 months from today, and then when asked how many adults and children it forces the age boxes for 11 kids even though I selected just 2. Did a very lengthy online chat with MS and I think they think I'm lying. Or stupid.

Does anyone else have this problem? Their suggestion was for me to stay out of the member site for 24 hours... ugh. I'm glad my booking window doesn't actually open until Saturday. I am currently just wanting to see what's available leading up to it (as in, should I walk my reservation?).

There's a very easy fix; go to "My Vacations and the choose Disney Vacation Club resorts. you'll be able to check availability from there.

Why do they move the button?!"?!/!?!?

I would imagine the on line booking function is one of the most popular features on the site, yet they hide freaking access to it.

So frustrating when devs develop things without understanding how the end user will use it.
