Why buy the Hopper?

We'll have six days to spend in the parks. (2) at Magic Kingdom, (2) at Epcot, (1) at Animal Kingdom, and (1) to repeat our favorite. Assuming that I pay attention to the schedule and visit the same park that is open during the Magic Hours PM time, why would we want a Hopper? If it's planned according, would I miss the HOpper? Why do you think it's worth it? $35 extra times 5 - $175.

It's worth it for the psychological fact that you know you have flexibility. What if everyone else goes to EMH too? If you don't have hoppers you are stuck at that park with the masses. With hoppers, you can leave and go somewhere else if it gets too crowded where you are. You can spend the day at EPCOT and then go to MK for WISHES. You can go to MK in the am, then back to your resort for a snooze, then to EPCOT for dinner and IllumiNations.

The possibilities with hoppers are endless. There is only one possibility per day without them.

JMHO

Exactly. We went with the hoppers last month and used them. We always hopped from somewhere to Epcot or MGM. The flexibility was great. Doing it again next year. :flower:

That is a good reason why we're getting the hopper because if we go to one park and it's really crowded, we have the option of going to another. We're not "stuck" at that park waiting forever for a ride.

Also, I enjoyed our past trip when we'd go to one in the morning, then back to the resort for a lunchbreak or just a rest and then off to another park for the afternoon/evening.

Planning to hop with my sisters next month. Beside the flexability of crowds, we are hopping for flexability of food!! :Pinkbounc

I have to agree. It would really stink if you got to MK on one of your days and found it to be terribly crowded and your only options were to go back to the Resort or to stick it out with the crowds.
:crowded:
Personally, I like being able to spend the morning at AK and then hop over to Epcot for the evening hours. It's just a nice option! :flower:

For me not having to think about what park for what day when I do ADR's is nice. I also love having freedom to go to AK in morning than go to MK or MGM for later fun. I also don't really care for most of eating places in AK or Epcot and 9 times out of 10 I end up in MK for dinner.
For me Park Hopper is a must!!!

AK closes at 5pm, so then you can go over to another park and watch fireworks. Our schedule usually includes a full day at each park on the first 4 days, then hopping the last few to catch things we missed or want to do again.

Park Hopping is a MUST in our house. For one the flexibility is priceless. Sometimes you can start out in one park and then by midday it can get crazy busy so you go to one of the less busier parks and relax there for a bit. Depending apon where you are going certain shows are on certain nights. So if I went to EPCOT for the day but Spectro Magic was at MK that night (this is not offered every night) I would want to Park Hop there to see it. Also sometimes you spend all day in a park and go to a nice dinner in another park to see a night time show. I would feel too restricted only staying in one park each day. Thats just me though. Good luck with your decision!

P.S Just thought of this..one your last few days shopping could be another reason. Personally I dont buy many things till the last few days because I like to see everything I can and then decide. if I bought everything I liked I know for one I would find something I like better and besides that is impulse buying which is dangerous! So if you do wait till the end of your trip so you can hop from park to park going back to buy that "special something" that hasn't left your mind!

Hope this helps!!

I agree with everyone here. It is definitely worth it to have the hopper. Flexibility plus what happens if the night you want to do the fireworks it rains, than you have the option of going another night.

Given the amount of money you are spending, another $175 adds a lot! :earsboy:

I always tell people you know your family and what do you think you are going to do? I have some friends that absolutely stick to a schedule ( as far as naps and bedtime ) and won't hop, but if your family can handle being flexible than it can really be worth it!! Good luck!!

If crowds are anything like they were in early to mid July you may wish you could get out of the EMH park. We found 2-3 hour waits on the EMH nights at MK and MGM so it just wasn't worth struggling withthe crowds all day and well into the night. We found it easier to go to the park that had an EMH the previous night. In the early AM we could get a ton done, go where ever we wanted in the afternoon and then head to another park in the evening to watch fireworks and hit a ride or two. Someone else mentioned that AK closes early, you might want to hit an addition park for dinner or rides and then fireworks.
