WHY avoid evening EMH's?

So many people say things like "Avoid the EVENING EMH's at all costs!" ""Stay away from the EVENING EMH's at all parks!"
My question is simple...WHY?? Are the crowds that bad??

People have reported 60-90 minute waits for the headliners

But I think that those numbers will only be getting better as August goes on and kids start going back to school. I am hoping that by Aug. 28th the EMHs will have gotten much better!!

All I can say about evening EMH's is horrible. E-ride nights were way better. Bring them back, Disney!

I just got back on Monday, and the one night we did the EMH at Epcot, the lines during EMH were longer than I had seen all day.

Everyone is saying to avoid evening EMH but what about the mornings- esp. at Epcot? My 14 yo DS is so looking forward to Epcot(he would live on SE given the chance ) but the only morning we can fit it into our schedule is a morning EMH day. We are early risers ,so getting there right at 8:00 won't really be an issue but will it be CRAZY ? We are going Aug.22. Anyone just back do the AM EMH at Epcot and what are your thoughts? Thanks for the input

If you go to one Evening EMH I would go to Animal Kingdom. We did that and got the whole park pretty much done from 5-10. No waits longer than 15 minutes. Plus the park is more enjoyable at night. (Not so hot)

I agree with AK evening EM. Get to the park about an hour or two before closing... everyone who came in earlier that day is leaving!

But Epcot morning EMH is GREAT. DO IT. We've done it three years in a row, most recently in June.

My advice: so straight to Soarin and get a FP, then get in the standby line.
You can ride Soarin twice (in a row, if the timing is right) this way, with maybe a 15 minute wait the first time.

After that, I would get a FP for Test Track, go ride Mission: Space, then go back and use my FP at Test Track. All three done by 9:30 if you're moving with purpose. You can stroll and enjoy yourself after that, while the lines for what you already rode are getting huge!
