Why August 13 for GP room only discount?

I've been reading that we are waiting for August 13. Usually the general public room only discount is offered the same day as the AP room only discount or a day or 2 later. Is August 13 insider information? TIA

I think the speculation on the date has to do with the fact that the current % off GP has to be booked by mid August and it seems to me last time Disney just extended the offer without too much fanfare.

I know normally in the past GP offers came out around the same time as AP but this year Disney has thrown out the discounts differently than in years past so it is really anyones guess about the next GP offer

The current GP offer has to be booked by Aug 13th, so maybe that's why? I am waiting to hear some rumors or insider info about this!
