Why aren't there shuttles from disney springs to the parks?

Hi,
as the title says - just wondering as surely with all the nearby hotels they'd be well used?

Thanks

Um, yeah, Disney isn't offering the parking lot at Disney Springs because they want it to be used as free parking to get into the parks. They charge people for parking at the parks because they like making money. They make free Disney Springs parking available as a lure for people to spend money at Disney Springs. If too many people park at Disney Springs simply to go to the parks, that will crowd their DS shoppers out, and that's obviously not what Disney wants.

Once you start thinking in terms of what would make the most money, the logistical quirks and inconveniences of Disney World suddenly start making sense.

A person or group could easily take a bus to any resort and then onto a theme park. They are just making it a little more time consuming. It is just a matter of time before you will have to scan your magic band to get on a bus to make sure that you are a resort guest. Many people take the Beach Resort bus from AK and MK and walk to Epcot. Also many at HS take Grand Floridan bus and then Monorail to MK. There are aware of this and expect something in the next two years.

One solution is to charge for parking at DS. Validate parking for a number of hours based on purchases

There isn't anything wrong with riding a resort bus from AK or MK or HS. People visit resorts to shop, eat, etc, and if they walk to the parks from there they aren't costing Disney anything in parking fees like they would be if they parked at DS. Besides, there are buses directly from those parks to the other parks. They could just take a bus from HS to MK and skip the monorail entirely.

Are there buses FROM the theme parks TO Disney Springs though? Or do you need to go to a resort first and then take the bus from there?

Pre Covid Disney ran buses from parks to DS. I think they started running at 4p. Don't think they resumed

Thanks, that's what I thought. My brother wants to go from MK to DS at 11:30am and I told them they'd likely have to walk/monorail to CR and then take a bus. Or take a Minnie Van.

Check MV on app. Don't like pricing or availability walk over to CR. Look at board. Unless bus to DS is imminent take ride share

Or take bus to SSR. Get of at Congress stop and walk to DS

Agreed but we all know that the Park to Park busses run only about 1x per hour during midday and people use Beach Club/Yacht busses from AK to go to Epcot as well as Poly/GF busses to to from AK/HS to MK. Off duty lifeguards told us that many locals have been coming to the hotels this year via Disney Springs and using the pools, which is why they are now checking bands at the Polynesian pool.

Yeah, we got "caught" with this. We were trying to take a bus from Epcot to DS for dinner. Stood at the bus stop quite a while before asking a CM what was up. We were SO late for our ADR, but the kind CM contacted the restaurant and asked them to hold our table... and they did!

No, we don't all know that park to park buses only run once an hour. (Is it actually true?) I usually have a rental car and drive from park to park, especially AK and MK. Again, there is NOTHING against the rules with riding resort buses if you aren't staying there. You are allowed to go to a resort. I eat, drink, shop, just hang out and enjoy the atmosphere. I have walked from the GF to the MK, I have walked from the Boardwalk to Epcot. It's fine. We weren't discussing pools, but I think it makes sense to check at all of the feature pools for resort guests. (I love Universal because they do allow pool hopping)

Years and years ago, Disney buses did runs to the partner hotels. This is going way back though.
