Shortly after I started receiving sarcastic remarks, I said that I was not going to bother posting anymore because only a handful of you are actually taking my question seriously. I am not sure why you are criticizing me. I am not sure why people are placing judgements on me. I am also not sure why people assume what my motives are. For all you know, I am doing research for a college paper or I plan on showing this thread to my teenagers to see how quick people are to judge and to always be careful on the internet. You have no idea.
I never said I didn't know who I was going to vote for and so I needed your help to decide. How do you know I am not voting for Obama? Maybe I am tired of all the slander on someone who I feel strongly about and I wish there was a larger contingent who could speak to the issues? I never said you are wrong for having your opinion. The title of the thread asks "Why are you voting for Obama?" I am aware that politics is a touchy subject and is full of opinion and I am asking what your honest to goodness opinion is.
With all that said, I am not here to slander, stir the pot, turn people against each other, or gather information for me to make my own decisions. If you don't want to share your reasons for voting for a candidate, and it is fine if you don't because it IS a personal thing, then don't post. Everyone is so quick to assume.
This is my honest to goodness last post on this thread and I would ask you to not slander me because I choose to not respond anymore and get mixed up in the back and forth some of you have created. Thank you to everyone who has answered with good intentions.
You are not sure why you are being judged, but you judged those uneducated Obama supporters...
If you would have just asked the question without "unintentionally" painting Obama supporters as uneducated and implying that the are just voting for him cuz "its the thing to do"... You might have been taken more seriously, just maybe.

No, I haven't been to ones where he speaks, but I have been to local college campuses and political gatherings where supports are there to pep rally people up. The people I spoke to were mostly college aged and were excited about change, but they couldn't specify what they wanted changed or how Obama was going to accomplish it.
In other words, not scary, full of hate, and impulsive.
