We went resort hopping on Wednesday, at every resort they had all kinds of resort specific merchandise, shirts, hats, stickers, etc. When we got to FW the only things were, the t shirts with the new too busy design and post cards, that was it. There use to be tire covers, license plates, hats, regular shirts, t shirts and sweat shirts. Were they not selling enough to justify the expense of keeping the stock? It's bad enough they have increased the site prices to cover the cost of upgrades. Should we start an email campaign to at least ask them to bring back the diamond logo and put it on shirts, hats and a license plate? I guess I feel lucky, I got some of the last stuff, a door mat, a tapestry throw, a long sleeved shirt, and a license plate, a couple years ago.

I asked that same question to one of the Meadows managers. She said that people had to complain A LOT, EVERYDAY, AS OFTEN AS POSSIBLE and EVERYCHANCE you get,,and if they recieve enough complaints then Disney would give back our Fort specific items.

Just a dang shame that we would even have to BEG like a starved dog.
The Fort is the only resort that FULL almost all the time,,at least compared to othe resorts. You would think they'd want resort specific things at the Fort ?!?!?!:confused3 I don't get it .

I don't get it either. We always buy a couple items on our trips, and I love looking around the trading posts at the merchandise on display. With as many people that come through the Fort I can't believe the majority weren't purchasing Fort items, at least at a similar rate of the other resorts.

I just took the customer survey they sent yesterday, and I blasted them on every question about not having resort specific merchandise! I know it won't do a dang bit of good lol, but it made me feel better.

I complained when we went in the meadow trading post, and she gave me a business card with an email to write too. I will find it and post it tonight for everyone to use.

In my survey, I told them, I can buy generic WDW at walmart 10x cheaper than there, the only stuff I can't buy is resort specific, and because they didn't have any, they missed the chance to suck $400 more out of my wallet. (I didn't use that exact terminology) LOL

I filled out the survey a few weeks ago and did the same thing. I told them that I was so disappointed in the lack of Fort specific items in comparison to last year. I told them I bought a many, many items last year, and this year I walked away empty-handed. Hopefully if enough people complain, they will do something about it.

Yes, please.

I also would have spent a good bit more during my trip; but, ended up taking my $$ home. They probably think people have a certain amount budgeted for "stuff" and will spend it even if what they are looking for is not available. Maybe so with the kids; but, not so much with the Fort Wilderness group.

That new design IS way to busy! Saw it last Jan and was so dissappointed because I knew it would be around for a while.:sad2:

They don't have any because we bought them all. They are not making anymore for now. RVUSA has an e-mail address to request Disney to make them again. Right now Disney is only making 5 resorts specific items. The others are left overs. the trading post still has a few of these.

They gave me this at the meadow's... said maybe if enough complained, then they would do something about it.

I posted this on the resort board, and the community board, I hope they get blasted!!! LOL

Can we complain about other stuff too ?

Like the food at Trails End, the lack of a food court. the 8 year olds driving the golf cart. getting yelled at for parking the cart on 1 pine needle and 2 blades of grass while the guy across the street has 3 cars at his site all parked on the grass and the thousands of "off site Visitors" on Halloween. the lack of/or selective rule enforcement.

I think putting a temp guard at the entrance to the overflow on 4th of July and other busy nights would keep outsiders out.

Donnie, that is an absolutely awesome idea!!!! LONG LIVE THE MAYOR!!!!!!

They just handed me the same card an hour ago for the same reason. That is a good idea Donnie.

HEY!!! Watch it there, mister!!! I am not ashamed to admit that the 4th is one of those days THIS outsider comes for the day just to visit my Fort Fiend friends. If you don't want me, just say so!:snooty:

I'll visit with Jen & MsGus instead. :yay:

ETA: For those on the board who have yet to meet the Ol' Otter-Spotter, we usually stay at the Fort once a month thru the year and a week in either Oct, Nov, or Dec ..... just so you know I'm not a total free-loader!
