Why are the news people ignoring the stock market crash?

Have you all noticed the market falling for 2 weeks straight? It is below 10,000 and my stock has lost a fortune lately.

It's because the bond market is doing so well right now...hence the raise in mortgage rates!!

It will come back!!! Worry not!

That and the price for Gas...uggh!!

There is concern in the financial markets about possible interest rate increases by the Fed. The market will come back up. Don't get caught up in the daily or weekly fluctuations.

I don't watch much TV news, but I did hear it mentioned a couple of times on the radio today, so someone is talking about it.

Good time to buy actually. Not to worry if you're in it for the long haul.

Don't worry, it will go up again. Then it will go back down. Then it will go back up.

I hope my powers have helped yet another person here.

Carl with gas prices hovering at $2.00 a gallon and still rising. Dairy products milking us. Beef prices sizzling and a market that seems to be wiping out last ouarters earnings. I say must be an election year.

Six more months of uncertainties. Until our national debt starts to decline I'm sure the market will remain unsteady.

The 90's spoiled us, we watched our portfolios double overnight. Now it's a long term market again. We are a society that wants it all now, we hate waiting.

The stock market goes up and down. There is no "crash" -- the media did mention that it went below 10,000 yesterday but it's back up today. The economy is looking up -- even if sometimes it doesn't feel that way.

Hmmmmm, I wonder why? Not as newsworthy, good news. The media makes me sick. And I agree fully, Pam.

My broker said this past Fri. was a record setting day. Only 18 times in the past 20 yrs has the market done a 10 to 1. To better explain, for every 10 stocks that went down in price, 1 stock went up. Thank goodness not every day is like that.

Long term is the key to success in the market. Talk of interest rates going up are affecting the market right now. Just hang on, it will be alright.

I'm more concerned about inflation and rising interest rates and those things causing the market to go even further down soon. I know that inflation has been low but it's amazing how expensive gas and food have gotten lately and I wonder if that won't bump up the inflation rate.

Miss Cleo...:rotfl:

I'm more concerned with the $2.00 gas. I drive 40 miles RT to work. I feel like puking every time I buy gas.
