Why are the electoral counts different?

On three networks?

Cnn, ABC and NBC all have different counts.

What's wrong?

Because some networks are counting Ohio as a win, which it isn't.

They are just calling states and different times. CNN hasn't called Ohio for Bush but at least Fox and ABC have I believe. Some have already called WI for Kerry, some have not. It looks like Iowa, NV, and NM will be called for Bush soon but they are being cautious, it seems.

No, that's not it.

None of them are doing that.

For example, CNN has Bush at 254 and Kerry at 252.

ABC has Bush at 269 and Kerry at 2 forty something.

None of these stations have either candidate at 270 yet.

MSNBC has called Ohio for Bush too.

He's not at 270 yet until they call either Iowa, NM or NV. 269 is right including Ohio.
