Why are the CMs being so contradictory?

I'm getting really concerned about what I'm reading regarding trips starting 9/20. I already have a room booked for a trip starting that day, and I am waiting for Thurs to call and add free dining. Yesterday, I read several posts that people added the discount to trips starting 9/20 with no problem.

Now today, I am reading several posts that many CMs are telling people they cannot extend the discount past 9/20. I'm getting worried that I won't be able to add. Is there any fine print anywhere that explains how this works so I can defend myself if the CM I speak with tells me no? I don't want to have to keep calling. Anyone have any thoughts on this???
 
We got our vacation 9/19-9/27 with no problems at all. Hopefully you will get a nice CM.
 
Whenever there's a one time add on like free dining or ticket upgrades you can add that code as long as your trip begins within the offer period. The new rule is that room discounts are only given for those days which fall into the offer period. I think this maybe confusing some cm's, if you get a bad one just say thanks and call back. I was told yesterday that the offer was thru 9/30. I was surprised so I questioned her and she said yes thru the 30th. Our trip is 9/20-9/27.

We got POR standard, 1 day tix, 5 people, free dining.

Yes, I have some thoughts.

My CM wasn't sure when I called in yesterday. She called guest services and put me on hold. It took another 10 mins, but guest services confirmed as long as you check in by the 20th.

So my advice is if the CM says no, is to have the CM call guest services while you're still on the line. That should clear up anyone's confusion.
 
I had to change my dates because they told me I could not go past the Sept 20th. Maybe I will call back???
 
When we booked the bounceback last Sept.....we were told that WDW had a new policy and that the entire package must fall within the promo date. I called twice more after returning home and both times the CM told us the same thing. It's very upsetting to know you gave it your best shot......but can't fight the system. I figure just live and learn......next year....I will keep calling until I get a CM who will extend the dates past the promo. I would advise anyone else who had to change their ressie or did not get satisfaction to keep calling back!!!!!!!
 
I got a CM this morning that stated it ended 09/20 and the free dining would not go beyond that. Then she put me on hold and came back and said she was in error and it would work fine if we checked in on 9/20. WOO HOO. I'm booked. Even have CRT reserved for one morning. Hopefully my granddaughters will be good to go.
 
I wish you luck...My Sil has tried ( 7 times now) since yesterday, and each Cm has told her NO ( her dates are 9/20-9/27) The last Cm she spoke to told her " I don't know why the other cms have been allowing it but you can not extend" I am really ticked off.Sil is very flexible about resorts and asked for any resort in that time frame with free dining and the answer was still NO.If disney chooses to enforce their policy, FINE but enforce it for everyone.I can't take Disney anymore changing their tune every single minute of every day!! It totally STINKS:mad: :mad: :mad:

Have the CM call guest services.
 
Now i am worried there will only be a lucky few that get to go past the 20th. They have fixed a "glitch" so now when we call on Thursday...you won't be able to get it. :(

we have airline tickets already, so we can't change our dates.

So, what happened? Did you get the dates?

I've got those same dates, and though I'm currently having other problems (no FD on club level or villas) I'd like to switch to standard rooms, but don't want to bother my TA, if the dates are firm.

Your SIL should just put in a reservation request with Dreams Unlimited online and let them handle it. She absolutely should be able to book those dates. Tell her to keep trying. Good luck to her.
 
:cool1: Ok , after "discussing" with guest services for over 40 mins.I was able to get her the free dining.Apparently, the basic premise by the higher ups was not to allow extending it.But since they have now let multitudes have it, they let me book for her.I hope everyone else has an easier time.If all else fails, talk to guest services.
 
This concerns me too. We're booked from 9/19 - 9/24 at POR with the dining plan and waiting for Thursday too....I REALLY hope we get the FD. We're Season Passholders so I know we'll have to buy the 1 day MYW tix, and that's fine if we can get the FD. There will be 3 adults and 2 kids and one of the kids turns 7 while we're there. We've already booked our ADRs at exactly where we want, so I really don't want to try to adjust the dates cause we may not get them all and it will be a pain!
