Why are supplies being dropped at CC?

Trying to understand why Disney would drop supplies off at CC? Logistically wouldn't it make more sense to drop them off in Nassau and have bigger boats move them as needed from there? Why would there be so many boats - big boats - at CC to pick up and redistribute? Or are the supplies for CC?

I would think both.....you can actually see Abaco Island from CC so it is closer than Nassau. That's what I can guess.

They also have the crew power to take smaller boats over to Abaco from Castaway. From Nassau they would have to find locals to do it.

I would think Castaway would be more efficient than Nassau at this time. I’m guessing Nassau is inundated with arriving donations and may not have the resources to redistribute them. Plus there may not be available docks in Abaco to receive larger boats. Shuttling smaller quantities from CC on smaller boats for the short trip to Abaco may get it there quicker than dealing with large boats and Nassau

Is traditional use is as a staging spot after all...
