Why are studio not open most of May and June at Poly?

I have early June trip, and keep checking to refine. Poly studios have been available every day of May, June and July since they announced the monorail station/platform refurb, etc. So much so, I quit even looking, having already booked 4 nights there, and it was always open, so thought I could adjust later as needed. (I keep hoping if I make it later, masks will no longer be required.) So the last couple days, most of May and June are suddenly gone. I thought they would reappear, but have not yet. Refurbs? Anyone have any ideas?

Summer break. Studios. Now well under 7 months out. Folks have banked points to use or lose. Multitude of things.

They are also starting a soft goods refurbishment at Poly in 2021 too.

These has been available up until a couple of days ago (we were planning on doing a few days at Poly in a split stay the first week of June, but guess not anymore!). I'm betting they decided to just take them out of inventory and do the refresh all at the same time leading up to the "re-opening" of the entire resort in July.

That was my guess also. I was hoping someone heard word, which would give us an idea of when full resort opening would be. It was weird, wasn't it, how they were ALL there, and then suddenly they were ALL gone. I guessed what you guessed. I already have June 6-10. I wonder if they will keep it, or contact me to change it, and if so, when. Keep your eyes on it, though, if you still want some days that first week. If they are not going to cancel people's reservations and relocate them, some people may cancel on their own.

This is obviously for the refresh announced at the annual meeting. It's too much inventory too fast, I was also watching this.

I am another DVC member who has been confused about the changes in Poly availability the last few days On December 9th, I modified my split stay for the beginning of May to a full stay at the Poly Villas and had no problem doing that as all of May and June was wide open Now I am hoping that there won't be any changes to my reservation

Rumor is the main resort work is behind schedule, although with 6+ months seems like they should be able to motor back to schedule.
