Why are some resorts not available for Dec 08?

I called last Sunday to book a Magical Gathering. My family is staying the first two days at AKL. We wanted concierge level but it wasn't available for DEC 08. Cast member said because of construction and should be realized sometime? Why would DVC have an impact on existing concierge level? Then I tried to book POR for the other family and it was also not available but POFQ is? I ended up leaving their little one of the ressie and booking them at POFQ, and waiting for POR to open up because they are a family of five! Has anybody else exprinced this? I wish I new why these hotels are not available?

I've tried checking different resorts too with the same issue.Only thing I can think of is maybe the are saving rooms(or blocks) for Pop Werner.

too many rooms - must be other conventions.

DVC will be completely inside Jambo (AKL) long before this time. So I don't know why it is refusing you concierge.

now the outside building will be going up.

if you don't want Disney dinning - might go look on expedia. sometimes they have rooms with Disney (CRO or WDWT) doesn't

You know I had the same thing happen to me, but everyday I kept checking wdw site and all of a sudden there was the room I was looking for, I think you have to ckeck everyday.

What days are you looking at? If it's any time before Dec. 20 you can book with no problem (and then their may just not be availability) but if it's after Dec 20, 2008 you need to wait about another week or so because the system at CRO is not yet showing those dates. I tried to book a package for Dec. 22, 2008 through the 28th and she told me to call back in about a week and everything would be available.

Let me rephrase this, lol... the CRO CM I spoke to told me that because my checkout day was after the 22nd I would have to wait a week and call back because the system wasn't that far ahead yet. It seems like from your ticker your trip is around that time.

This sounds true, cause my dates are dec19 -dec26 and I was able to book yesterday but there were no resorts that we were looking for, but today there is.

Update- I called today and was able to upgrade our AKL to concerige level however; their is still no POR available !?? We are checking in DEC 6 08 and checking out the 14th..

Several CM's that I have spoke with said that only a few rooms have been opened up for December and they will continue to open up more blocks of rooms throughout the next few months. They don't release all of the rooms at once. You just have to keep trying.
