Why are people using their phone while on the toilet?? WHY?

Supported by cell carriers... they get to sell many replacements..

It really annoys me when people do this in public restrooms. Way to go to make the lines even longer. Do what you like at home but really, it’s so inconsiderate otherwise.

Plus wherever you go, there’s usually someone in one of the stalls making a loud phone call. Why bother doing it in the toilet? Do you think no one can hear you?

Because for some people it helps pass the time they were going to be in there anyway and distract them from the horrible pain they are having from intestinal related medical conditions.

ETA: browsing facebook or something in this case, NOT making calls, that's just gross.

I guess I need to rethink if I’m a germaphobe on the other thread. This skeevs me out that people do this. I will never touch another person’s phone. Ever.
I don't understand why you would need to touch someone elses phone.
Some people can use a phone in this manner and not contaminate it, in any case,
some people actually regularly use a sanitizing wipe on their phone because they become gross even without using it in a restroom.

It's the new phone booth!

I rarely take my phone into the bathroom..I only do when I’m waiting for an important phone call. Of course, I’d stop what I was doing before I answered lol

My husband and daughter take theirs in all the time. I refuse to answer their texts while they’re in there.

I take mine with me. It passes the time when you’re going to be there for a while. Cleaner than a naga one or book IMO. And no, I’m not using the restroom now, I’m at a Cub Scout meeting. Lol

It does peeve me when people continue their loud (often speaker phone) calls while using the toilet. Come on, be respectful of the rest of us who don’t care to hear your conversation.

But what if they're out of toilet paper?

My mom and I were at Goodwill. She went to use their bathroom. After she had "went" she realized there was no toilet paper. She called me on my cell phone and I had to find an employee to get her some.

I was talking to a buddy of mine while he was pooping and I swear it stunk so bad I smelled it over the phone, I told him I had to go I cant stand the smell a second longer

I'm usually in and out quickly. In 56 years I've never even read a magazine while on the toilet. I need total concentration on the task at hand. ::yes::

Back in college there often was some good graffiti on the stall walls if I wanted to read something.

I regularly get texts that DH is stranded and needs a new TP roll

If I have locked my bedroom door so I can pee alone without interruption, the kids will switch from knocking on the door to texting me. No peace for me. Lol

I've stayed in several 'fancy" hotels that had a phone in the bathroom. Landline.
