Why are people down on Tiffany Town Car?

We'll be using Tiffany next week for the first time, and I'm wondering what is appropriate to tip? There will be 2 of us with minimal luggage (2 suitcases) in a town car.

thanks,
Katie

We used Tiffany in April 04 and had a great time, both ways the driver was early and waiting for us. He offered us a grocery stop even though we had not requested it but we passed as we did not want any extra bags.

I remember a few years back Tiffeny was the service of choice but that was before FL Tours was a sponcer, unfortunately (or not)they would not pick us up so we used Tiffany.

Sorry, I didn't read down far enough to find your thread and I posted this on a new thread a few minutes ago. Copied and pasted it here. It helps me get a broader perspective reading several other posts:

We have always used Tiffany Towncars to get to and from WDW, but we're really considering changing. Our last trip in January, we had a less pleasant experience than we ever have. First, when we booked our trip the person I talked to was not friendly, not really interested in the conversation, I had to tell her twice that I would like to include a grocery stop, then when I called back the day before our trip to confirm (I wasn't comfortable that she had really "gotten it") I was glad that I did. They had no record of the grocery stop request, and she sighed deeply and told me that I "should have booked it when I originally made the reservation". When I explained that I had, she seemed not to believe me. The driver that they sent (I had never met him before) was 15 minutes late to pick us up, as a matter of fact I found another Tiffany Driver waiting for another party and had him radio to see where our driver was. As he was calling in, our driver ran up and said that he had been there all along waiting by the baggage carousel, which we knew wasn't true because we had been there. We paid him and tipped him, thinking that this must really be a fluke because of all the other positive experiences we have had. On the day of our return trip he was again 15 minutes late and again had an excuse that didn't ring true.

We are really trying to decide whether or not to try another car service (maybe the sponsor of this site). I usually don't change based on one bad experience, but in reality it was 4 contacts. We didn't even bother to call or write to complain because of my conversations with the office staff I felt that no one would really care anyway. I was really wondering if anyone else has had the feeling that Tiffany is just not what it used to be, or was it just bad luck on our part. Also any info in experiences with Fl Tours? We are not picky, just 2 of us this trip with very simple requests.

As I posted earlier we were very disappointed in TTC last Nov and we used a different service in Feb. I do feel TTC has changed and not only the drivers but also the office staff. I still think the world of Berkly but unless I'm guaranteed that I'd get him I would not use TTC again.

Most posters suggest tipping anywhere btw. $10 and $20. However, the TTC site says the minimum tip is 20%. With an original price of $95, that would be $19, and if you take the coupon discount into consideration, the tip should be $17.40. I had planned to tip $15/each way, but am worried that this might doom us to poor service on our return trip, penalties, etc. What do you guys think? THanks!

ETA: There will only be myself and my BF, with 2-3 bags total.
