Why are monorail resorts so expensive this spring?

The last 3 years the discount for the deluxe resorts is around 30%-35% and works its way down from there. This spring the monorail resorts are actually at a lower discount rate than the moderates 20% vs. 25%. Any ideas why? Is there any chance this may change as dates get closer?

I think it just reflects that the economy is bouncing back and Disney doesn't have to offer the deep discounts that they have the last few years in order to fill up their rooms especially at the high end of things.

Especially with the construction at gf and the refurbishment at poly you would think they would offer better discounts. I like Epcot resorts much better and was not wowed when staying at contemporary or poly

The economy is very weak and cost of goods are on the rise. You will find you will be getting less for the same price and discounts will also shrink. 2014 will bring you additional expenses too.
