Why are M&M's without color????

What is up with the black & white M&M's???? They taste the same but why are looking for their color?

My son mentioned something to me the other day about this. Apparently they are running some sort of contest that if you get a bag with color, you are a winner? He didn't know all the details though.

They are running a Willy Wonka type contest.

It's just a promotional gimmick. They have a commercial using Dorothy in B&W talking about how her dream had color (just like in the real movie).

I think it's kind of a silly promotion.

but I HATE licorice!!! The smell even makes me gag. So if I see any BLACK candy, I automatically think LICORICE, and I get downright queasy!! So, I probably won't eat M&Ms this year, normally my favorite candy. Either that, or I'll eat them with my eyes closed.

If the black is the same as they use in the Halloween bags, it is NASTY!! Too much dye in them.......and I always have M&Ms around.
Good thing I bought 4 bags of Christmas ones
Also, I have seen the small bags in the colors, don't know if they will go away once the stores have used their supply or not.

Actually they taste the same as the Colorful ones. I think they are grey and white, no black. I only had one bag of the M&M's Peanut, as that is the ONLY one I eat!

Does that mean someone would win a brown Beetle? Do they even make them in that color?

I was wondering about the brown beetle too, I've never seen a brown one before. If you don't want the "non-color" m&m's, the Valentine ones are out! That's what I just bought!! MMMMMM!

I don't know about a Brown Beetle, but the alleged Black M&Ms I saw were really brown, very dark brown, not black. I could do DCA in a day, I have actually, 2 times. Great park, but not more than a full day.

My dad bought 2 bags and he thought only the bags were black and white. He and my mom were really upset about the color-less m&ms. I personally love the mint m&m's and wish they'd sell them year round.
