why are direct flights so expensive now? at least £500.

I booked in BAs sale in January. 6 of us go in November/December all return flights for £1750 and travelling on Saturday (including all taxes etc.). We are flying to Tampa as in the time that I checked the Orlando flights and then went to discuss the dates with DW the available ones were gone.

Then in March Virgin had a similar sale and we could have booked with them to Orlando (same dates) for only very slightly more.

If you're interested in these types of deals visit Virgin Atlantic's website and sign up for their e-mails of special offers. BA may do the same, it's worth having a look.

i know that i am repeating myself but to go in nov direct with virgin - it is over £500. it is off peak too.

i am hoping that this price does goe down or they have a sale.
