Why am I cursed with bad luck for quests?

Yes, I believe I have bad luck for quests. Something always seems to happen so I don't finish them. Yesterday's quest, I was gone most of the day so I was only able to to get to number 4 before it was taken down. Yes I know the prize is buyable, but would rather win it and save credits because I'm trying to get enough credits to buy the pin that's supposed to be only in the emporium this weekend.

Ok, back on topic. Then today I started the new quest, got to number 15 and was disconnected. I saw at the bottom on VMK Pal that the quest had 5 minutes left. I tried to log on, but instead I got "This site is temporarily too busy to process your request. Please try again later." So another quest I don't get to finish.

*shakes fist at the Quest Gods* Oh, why do you hate me so??

It's happened to me for four weeks now.

I only got the jolly roger pin from those pirate month weekend quests!

I'm cursed for host games, so I understand your pain. I never seem to make it in, and when I do I usually choose the wrong teleporter and end up in a line that I never make it back through. Ah well.
