Why all the ***'s

I just wrote 'expensive' in another thread and must have mistyped the 'pensi' in the middle of the word leaving me with a bunch of *'s!

Thanks folks - my education is expanding daily.....

So far I have various rude acronyms - mostly about parts of the female or male anatomy being On Show..... , a rival website (or 2) and an odd ?religion?,

I must admit I like the innocence of the bad grammar police and the lettuce haters better....

I also wondered why *** would get starred out,i thought it stood for something completley different ,that has'nt been mentioned .
As for this other website-i am glad i am not the only one who has'nt got a clue ,i felt quite silly not knowing,as if i should have .x.

Don't feel silly, trust me it's nicer not to know in some ways because some of the things that have been said you would say to your worst enemy.

Because the people who frequent the *** board spend most of their time bashing the brides and their plans, not nice .

Meh, don't worry about it.

I lurk on there as I've made friends with a few of the brides and we all keep a check on anything that could put us in the firing line. Needless to say we don't post anything controversial on the wedding board anymore

They are just bored, and banned from here! I think most of us would agree if we couldn't DIS some days would seem pretty long!

Everyone's entitled to their opinion and the internet is an easy place to air them. They didn't like my engagement pictures (didn't think my photographers were good, didn't like my dress etc.) obviously they said so, and didn't hold back as they assumed I wouldn't see. I think we're all guilty of talking about people behind their backs, it happens everyday. Just carry on as normal and don't let it affect you.

I think enough has been said now, end of the day it is a word we are not allowed to use for whatever reason. It does bring back bad memories for some who have been upset in the past so will leave it at that.
