Why all the hype - Mythos???

Although the food is good at Mythos (I had a pretty good pizza there on our last visit), its the atmosphere that keeps bringing me back. I find it a great break from the park, a nice place to relax and regain one's bearings. The servers are great. The decorations are neat. One of my favorite alcoholic drinks, Potion of the Gods, is sold there too.

Their smoothies are really good too.

We love the atmosphere and food at Mythos. For a table service meal in a theme park, it is the most economical and tasty meal in our years of visiting theme parks across the country. My favorite if the risotto of the day (preferrably beef tips witht asparagus). Their shrimp or chicken ceasar salads are better than any I have had a WDW (Artist's Palette at SSR is a close second). I haven't been fortunate enough to visit when the Corvina was offered but who knows what the future holds!

Make sure you ask what the Risotto of the Day, the Pastabilities of the Day, and the Flatbread of the Day is. I usually end up getting at least one of these.

I've hardly tried the regular menu items myself because the specials are so good.

I've eaten at Mythos several times a year since the park opened in 1999. Although the menu has changed many times, I've never had anything less than an excellent meal there, or excellent service. Some of their dishes are just divine.

We will be at the parks June 15 thru June 19, a busy time for sure (although we are staying on site YAAAAY!!!!), does Mythos take reservations? How long will they be open at that time of the year. This restaurant is a must do on our list!

Yes, you can make a reservation. We've never been there when they've been open for dinner but I am sure someone else can help you with that question.

It depends on how late the parks are open. We've usually been there during the times the park is open until 10:00 PM and have been able to have dinners at Mythos. The menu was always the same for lunch and dinner except they also had an express lunch menu.

We've had a reservation for as late as 5 or 6 PM in mid August. It just depends on how late the parks are open. Here is the phone # for IOA dinner reservations - 407-224-4012. I need to call to make ressies for February but I always forget to call during the day!

Because I can get THIS for $13.50 in a beautiful setting....

Or.....I could eat at Mel's and get chicken fingers and onion rings for $11.50. Not to mention if you sit outside you get swarmed by seagulls.

Tell me about this drink, please? Flavors, ingredients?

I'm not a big drinker, so I had diet soda the one time we ate at Mythos (which we loved, btw). I'd like to "drink" outside the box on our upcoming trip!

That is a huge reason for us too. Everything is basically the same price as if you buy counter service somewhere else.

Ohhhh, that sounds good! I love a drink with pineapple in it! Thanks for posting!

I bet you only need one 24oz drink of the Potion Of The Gods, thats got some booze in it!!:tilt:
