Thanks for the link! I enjoyed the article, but I really do wish this had been labeled "Why
Adventures by Disney - Backstage Magic Is Worth It". The article is very focused to that particular trip and while many of the trips follow the same pattern, doing a Backstage Magic is quite a different feel from doing one abroad. I opened it hoping for an article to really dissect the nuances of why
ABD is so special and "worth it" since the price tag can be jarring, but honestly it ended up falling a bit flat. On my last ABD, our group talked about how nice it is not to have to worry about those little things that can ruin a vacation (trying to find a public water closet, transportation to/from destinations, misreading the map and then fighting with your family about which way is "right" on the map, waiting in line for tickets to a big tourist attractions, etc.). We also mentioned that some of the experiences on the itinerary, like making masks in Venice, or attending a strudel demonstration, can sound unappealing, but they end up being those things you love and then say, that's not 5 Euro I would ever think about spending on my own, but it was awesome, and if I do a trip in the future on my own, maybe I
will pay the 5 Euro for a random demonstration! It can really change the way you even go about travel (e.g. I now always look for a guided tour when I visit a new city)! While some of this was touched on, for someone looking into an ABD trip, especially one outside the US, I think those might be some nuances that could push a family to give ABD a whirl. I guess I'm saying that while this article was nice, I would also like to see an article that was not tailored to a particular trip, but to Adventures by Disney more generally.
