Who'se watching I love the 70's..Part two? Theyare showing 1978 right now and I just saw 2 of my favs ,Doctor Who aand Ice Castles

I like watching the 80s version because I was born in 1982 so I really can't relate to the 70s, but I do love the idea of the "I Love....." shows. They are so nostalgic :cloud9:

I'm watching it! I've got to say, the guy who's doing "Porn? Or Not Porn?" is kinda creeping me out.

What is with that mustache type thing? Ick!

That's John Waters .He's a pretty famous director of some very strange and gross movies.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOV E LOVE (you get the point) Hairspray! Awesome movie--- weird, but I grew up watching it so I only realized it was weird when other people were like, "What the heckles?!?!?" :rotfl:

His movie Pink Flamingos is the sickest thing I've ever seen ..That said AS weird as he seems I get the feiling, from watching him for years, that he couldn'y hurt a fly

I have been watching it. Loved the Ice Castles part. Now I will have that song in my head for the rest of the night.

I've been enjoying watching the 70's. I graduated high school in 1974 (YIKES!!) so it has been fun seeing those years brought back.

Some of the comics are cracking me up (Hal Sparks is quickly becoming a favorite)

they do them good, I enjoy watching them

I've seen most of the shows this week. It brings back a lot of great childhood memories. :happytv:

I've been watching,Class of 77,DH Class of 74 so these shows bring back some great memories for us. I was a bell bottom, platform shoe kinda gal.

After seeing the part about "Disco Duck", my DD rolled her eyes and said that she felt sorry for me having to go to high school during the 70's! :rotfl:

i liked it but was disappointed in some of the stuff they did-some they excluded. we fast forwarded thru the 'charo' stuff, i hated the 'bruce lee vs. evil kenival'-and the same intro over and over and over to the one allison angram (nellie olson) did got mind numbing.

i was disappointed that they did'nt make mention of some things i clearly remember as being huge in the 70's (i graduated in '79)-dittos jeans (all those colors), bear traps (wedgie shoes), angel flight's (the 3 pc. polyester suits all the guys wore to dances). they talked about 'mini' and 'midie' skirts-does'nt anyone remember 'maxies'? the long dresses (usualy made by gunnie saks a.k.a jessica mcclintock) were realy popular-also those long skirts girls used to make out of old pairs of levis with the matching purse made out of old levi cut offs), quilted material purses, and those looooooooooooooooong sweater coats (that kept stretching out as you wore them). and JUMP SUITS and OVERALLS-these were huge. osh-kosh-b'gosh made these realy tight overalls-some with zippers up the entire side of both legs, 'goose down' coats and vests (we looked like the 'michelan man' but we were warm :thumbsup2 ).

i also did'nt see much mention of the cartoons-did'nt all the 'school house rocks' start in the 70's-those are huge to this day! and while they kept going on about the 'farrah do' they did'nt mention that dorothy hammil's 'wedge' haircut caused a bunch of girls to cut off their 'farrah feathers' and go short!

and did i miss it or did they not once mention that 'story songs' were realy popular for a long time (billy don't be a hero, the night chicago died, and that one where the girl was pregnant and the dad shoots her while shooting at the boyfriend-realy insipid " here's the last words 'julie said' :  daddy please dont it was'nt his fault he means so much to me, daddy please dont we're gonna get married just you wait and see'

just did'nt seem as well rounded a look back as the other 'i love the' shows.

another class of '77. I loved my dorothy hammil wedge, I agree they tend to be all about the Farrah style which wasn't as popular around here.

Its fun to see many of the things I had forgotten about over the years!

This is a second volume so some things had to be in the other one
