Okay, I am now pretty mad at dh: I'd written a long post and had to take a break while bathing the kids, and then he left the page and I lost it all!!!! ARRGH!!!!!

What I wanted to say was: Yay for two weeks!!!! I am so envious! ANd then you get to go alone with your dh after that! *sigh* But I think you deserve it!!! I am so happy for you guys!!!

Sorry I've been mia. It has been really hard to come home and minus 45 weather down't help....! We're dreaming about moving to Norway and more human living conditions!

I think you've been very good to have put off packing until now but now you can pack away!! Christmas will make the next two weeks go by like nothing. I hope you guys get to enjoy your Christmas as a family (we want pictures, lots of pictures ).

This would probably have been a much longer and more thought through post if it hadn't been for dh, but oh well. Have a great weekend!!!

I can't believe it's 2 weeks already! Crazy!

I'm going to start going through my stuff today or tomorrow and put it in the bag! I told DH he needs to think about what he wants to bring. I have to pack for him, he's completely incapable of doing it in what consider an acceptable manor. He'd pack like 4 nasty, old tee shirts from 1994 (no joke, he has tons and tons of tee shirts, some from college!) and the yuckiest pair of jeans he has! We've twice had a DH packing for himself crisis. When we went to Massachusetts for his best friend wedding, mind you DH was the best man, he for got his dress pants for the rehersal dinner! We didn't realize it until the last minute and he had to wear stained jeans! When we went away for his cousins wedding he forgot his dress shoes! Luckily, we realized sooner and where able to get him a really nice pair on sale at a shoe store in an outlet mall! So, I much better off doing it myself!

Coming home from WDW always stinks!!! It's so hard to leave so much fun!!! I definitely couldn't deal with -45!!!! OMG!!! I hate +30!!!!

We're so excited for Christmas! It snowed here yesterday!! We normally get rain or really nasty slush!! The coastline seems to keep the snow away! I'm hoping it stays around for a white Christmas!!! We have A LOT going the next 2 weeks so it should fly by!

Ugggggghhhhhhh!!!!! My poor kiddos!! The yearly stomach bug has hit!

DD was home sick from school Thursday, like I said before. She looked awful but only actually got sick once. Thankfully!!! She was able to go back to school yesterday and do her readers theater play. It was soooooo darn cute and she did a fabulous job!!!!

Well at 4:15 this morning I was awoken by some sort of odd noise. I thought it was the dog at first. Then it happened again and I knew it was DS Johnny. For some reason DH hopped out of bed and said "someones getting sick" He was definitely right but he can't handle vomit! Not at all! But he ran to DD door as I was getting to our door, I told him it was Johnny and I would handle it. It was nice that he thought to help, but I don't need to clean his up too!! He wanted to know how I knew it was DS not DD, a mother knows! Poor kiddo got sick alllllllllll over his bed! I cleaned him up, changed his clothes, set him up on the couch and threw the bedding in the wash! Yuck! He's gotten sick twice more since then! I'm glad it's happening now, not in a week and a half! But I feel so terribly bad for them when their sick! It breaks my heart!!

I think I'll need a nap today!!!

The couch, probably the love seat since DS is parked on the couch, will be friends for a few hours starting at noon! There are several WDW shows on the Travel Channel today from noon on!!! Including the Samantha Brown Christmas show!!!! How nice of them to do something special to mark our 2 week point!!!

I totally know about men and kids that are sick. My husband is awful when my son throws up (he doesn't get sick, he just doesn't want to get any on him and he makes a huge scene like a baby, and that just upsets the kids more of course), so I don't even want him near us when they are getting sick.

DH just can't handle it!! He also can't handle it when the dog "goes" on the floor! He got up earlier then me the other day and the dog had done it again. Of course, DH left it there for me to clean up!!! UGHHH!!!!!

DS seems to be coming out of it now! He got sick at least 12 times between 4 am and noon! Poor baby! He ate a little for lunch and drank a bit and has kept it down for over an hour so I'm hopeful!

I love to tag along on trips!!! It's a nice fix!!

I'm praying soooo hard that Ryan, DH and I don't get it! I can get the big kids to get sick in a bowl or the toliet. I don't think I can do that with Ryan! I'm trying to will myself not to get it! I've decided that because I got a sinus migraine last weekend and got sick from it it wouldn't be fair if I got sick now , like my logic?! If DH gets it I'm going to a hotel cause I can't handle the way he acts when he's sick!

Johnny got sick until about noon and then Ryan started about 1! UGGGHH!! Poor bady had no idea what was going on or what to do All he wanted was Mommy. I couldn't even put him down for a minute to go the bathroom! He screamed!! He stopped getting sick around bed time. Thank goodness! Then about 11:30 DD got sick I figured she got it bavck beut she only got sick once!

I'm so happy they seem to be better today!! I hate to see them sick!!

I'm happy the kids are better! Make sure you wash your hands REALLY well and often until after your trip because the virus can live in their intestines for several weeks! And no matter how fun Disney World is, it is not a fun place to be sick, especially throw up sick... Lots of your way for no more sickies!

I'm super excited today!!!

I feel very accomplished!!!

Yesterday, poor DD was a bit sick and was home from school. It kinda put a kink in my plan to wrap Christmas presents! But, when DS took his nap I took her upstairs with me and she sprawled out on my bed and watched TV while I got a move on packing!! I packed all the kids stuff!!! Plus, all the tolietries that I could!!!! I just have to pack my stuff, DH's stuff and the carry ons now!!

This morning DD had a little play at school, luckily she was feeling better because she missed last nights preformance When we got home I got to work wrapping! I'm finished except for the things the kiddos can see. Things from Grandmas and Grandpas, Aunts and Uncles etc! I'm wait to do those because DD wants to help!

It's snowing like holy heck here today! OMG! It's putting me in the christmas spirit! It's also putting me in the spirit for 70 degree WDW weather!!

I can't believe tomorrow is 2 weeks!!! I have such a busy next 2 weeks I know it'll be here before I know it!!!!

DH was giving me his "after March we're going to take a little break from WDW" speech. But, then he said "Oh... Well, my mom said they want to go again in 2010" Yippppeeeee!!!

We had planned on going in October of 2010 with my sisters and their families so I hope MIL and FIL will want to go in early 2010!!!

I can't believe it's 2 weeks already! Crazy!

I'm going to start going through my stuff today or tomorrow and put it in the bag! I told DH he needs to think about what he wants to bring. Sorry everyone is getting sick hope you stay well after taking care of all the little ones. There was several people on the plane that were sick with the stomach flu.....I held my breath the whole time.....and did alot of praying.

My DH pukes at just the word puke. We have 3 cats that are constantly throwing up hairballs and during the process he is gaging.


I am so glad your time is fast aproaching ....I am so excited for you.

DH and I discussed bathing in bleach but decided that wasn't a good option! If anyone gets it it will be me. I'm trying very hard to will myself not to! I felt a bit sick to my tummy today and had a little problem at the other end so I'm hoping that was it and I'll be fine!

We've done sick at WDW, not tummy sick, 103 fever sick and it was terrible! Luckily, a little pixie dust from a wonderful Dr knocked it out very fast! I don't want a repeat of though!!

DD was a little upset last night about getting sick again and I told her to be thankful it wasn't a few days later for Christmas or a week and half later for WDW. She said "If I got sick on Christmas I'd have to just lay on the couch and not play with my new things!" I told her that when I was a kid I had the stomach bug on my birthday one year!! It was terrible!!! She was glad to get it over and done with!

I think Samantha Brown was on at 3, DS was watching a Scooby Doo DVD so I missed it. Oh well!

They seem to be all better, a little tired, but better. Ryan keeps making this noise like he's going to be sick and laughing!! He's too much!! Apparently, in hindsight it's funny

So, I know I said I'd be back today with some WL love but I bushed!! I spent the better part of the day pre-holiday and post stomach bug cleaning! I swear you could eat off my floors! I have this handed floor steamer cleaner thingy that I used on all the floors and lysoled and bleached everything possible! I also opened the windows for a little while to get the yucky germy air out!

So, hopefully tomorrow I'll be bakc with the WL love!!

Tomorrow I'm hoping to start getting at some of my stuff! I have a few christmas presents for the family I have to wrap first and then head to DD's class to read, but I'm hoping while DH's bathroom upstair is soaking in bleach (he'sthe only one that uses it unless we have company) I'll get to it! After my stuff is done I'll have at DH's! he's easy and I know what's acceptable to me for him to wear. I will, of course, need at least 1 NY Giants tee and a tee from a sailing regatta but other then that I'll have my pick!

I'm soooooooooo hoping for 70 and sunny! But, the intercot weather thread says something about a cold turn at the beginning of January

So, guess what happened last night?!




DH got sick!!


Oh my!! luckily the only time he actually threw up was when he was next door at his parents house watching football. But he made several trips to the bathroom during the night. He was also freezing cold and shivering!! I got up at one point and got him an extra quilt. Then he was fine. I thought he may have a fever because of the shivering but he was cool as a cucumber!

The thing is I'm soooo irritated at him right now! I know he's sick and maybe I'm terrible. Not to mention I was already annoyed at him before he got sick! Anyway, my irritation lies in the fact that I spent the better part of the weekend taking care of our sick children, cleaning and getting ready for christmas. In the middle of the night last night I took care of him and then got up to get the kiddos ready for school. The thing is, I never get this kind of thing returned! He never, well hardly ever, takes care of me and does things to help me out when I'm sick! When I had pneumonia last month I still got up ever morning and go the kids ready for school and did the things that needed to be done. I never got to sleep late, he's still asleep now. He never once budged in bed when Ryan was being his fussy sleeper self to help me out. He did the minimum he had to do to get by and that was it because he knew I'd let it slide and do it myself when I got better or just suck it up and do it sick. He knews I'll fend for myself, suck it up and get over it!

I've been fighting this my whole life! Even when I was kid! It's always been Melissa can take care of herself. I always did what needed to be done and no one ever had to worry about me!

I'm so annoyed today I could spit!!

Like I said, I was annoyed at DH before last night too! To understand why I'm annoyed you must know a 2 things. 1, that DH's parents live next door. They live literally 100 feet north of us, I could walk to my kitchen window right now and look at them in their dining room having coffee and reading the paper. 2nd is that I adore my inlaws. Especially MIL. If it weren't for her I don't know what I'd do! Truely she's my best friend and 2nd mother all in one! So, this year is our year to have Christmas with MIL and FIL. Which means waking up here Christmas morning, opening presents, having breakfast, watching the WDW christmas parade and then going to MIL and FIL's a little later. I always feel bad thinking of them sitting there next door all alone on Christmas morning. I always think they must feel lonely or sad, maybe I'm wrong. So, the other day MIL came over to give DH a message (she's the office manager for DH and FIL's business) and I invited her and FIL over Christmas morning to see the kids open their presents and have breakfast. DH was upset at me! Ok, I didn't ask him first and I probably should have BUT HELLO!!!! I thought I was doing something nice for his parents! I swear!!! As it turns out they'll probably just come over for breakfast because FIL doesn't want to have to get up at the butt crack of dawn. He know the kiddos will be climbing on me in bed at 6 am to go down stairs! I just don't understand how he can be upset! I get that he wants to open presents with the kids alone and I'm sorry I didn't ask him first. When I invited them it was kind of an off the cuff idea! He should be thankful that I was thinking of his parents!

Ughhhhhh!!!!! I'm soo annoyed!!

I'll stop whining and crying like a little baby now and get back to work!

Melissa, I totally see where you're coming from, on both points!! Men! They're just not wired the same way we are. Sometimes that's good (there are some things they are better at) but it can also be sooo frustrating! I think they really don't get it sometimes. They might seem super-selfish (and sometimes they are, somtimes we all are) but I think most of the time they're just clueless! There have been times when I've been feeling so resentful and then opened up to dh about (trying not to be attatcking but really sharing how I was feeling) and he was like: really, you feel that way? YEAH!! And I think sometimes appealing to their need to be needed can be really helpful. Just let him know, next time you're sick, that you really need his help. A guy loves to be needed! I think both of you should be able to take it more easy when you're sick. But unfortunately he doesn't always get it. Asking him to help you with specific things might work and just being open with him. If you can handle it, baby him now when he's sick and then remind him next time when you are sick that you'd like what he had.
About your parents I get that that annoyed you when you thought you were just being nice. Did he understand that you did it to be nice? Probably not. Wouldn't it be nice if guys were just as intuitive as women are? But then they'd maybe be very feminine too and that would be pretty boring if you ask me!

My biggest issue is that he isn't very good at being there when I need him. Don't get me wrong, I love him more then anything, but sometimes I really want to smack him in the head!! he keeps thanking me for taking such good care of him, I wanna say "Yeah, take that into account next time I'm sick!"

Oh well! Like most times I get annoyed at I'm almost over it now! I can't stay mad at him too long. I've tried countless time but I just can't!!
