Whose going for March Break 8-15

March 4-14, me and ds 13 by ourselves. We usually go in May to beat the crowds, but school is getting more intense and he doesn't want to have too much to catch up on when he gets back. He will miss 3 days of school, and is responsible for collecting the catch up work from classmates as teacher doesn't do that. This is our first time at March break, I swore I would never do it, but given a choice of Disney at March break, or no Disney at all? No brainer.:thumbsup2

Hi Chester's Mum

I'm going almost the same time as you (March 5 - 14) flying from Buffalo as the flights were much cheaper than Toronto :thumbsup2

My DS is just missing 2 days, but he is in Grade 11 and really can't miss more than that.

We used to go either January or February but because of school March Break is it for this year :rolleyes1

Hoping the crowds will be lite for at least the first few days ;)

iluvwesties (aka Carol)

Holy WOW there are a lot of people from DIS headed down for MB.

We will be there Mar 9-14th at Animal Kingdom, then off for the 3N Royal Caribbean cruise.

Can't wait!

There are airfares in the sub $300 range still available for March Break from YKF.

Departing on the Monday or Tuesday (Mar 11-12) and returning on the Tues or Wed (Marth 18-19) in the $249-300 range. Only 1 connection in Detroit for all of these by the looks of it! NWA is time sensitive and these will go up at the 21 Day and 14 Day marks.

We are also going March 5-14 and attending the P&PP on March 11. Can't wait! We have gone a few times at March break and never had any problems. Go early in the morning and do the things you really want and get fastpasses throughout the day. We never waited more than 15-20 minutes for anything (and often not that long). Good planning and a relaxed mood make it very manageable! It is definitely better than the crowds combined with the heat during the summer.

We (DW, DD9 and DD2) will be at BCV March 7 to 15. No PPP since DD2 is still a bit too young and DD9 does not seem to have any interest. She has us going to Fantasmic on March 11. If the lines are too long then we will just head back to the pool. I cannot wait to put my feet in some water that is not snow, ice or slush. The only ice I want to see is in my poolside lemonade.:thumbsup2

Wow, Lots of Canadians going to the P&PP :thumbsup2

We are going too! Tuesday, the 11th!
Here's hoping for some awesome Florida sunshine!:)

I will be taking 3 nephews with me March 10-14. With the good exchange rate, I figure the place will be packed with Canadians

what are these?

They are the unofficial symbol of being a Dis member.

Actually, they are paint chips you pick up for free at Home Depot in the paint area. They are in the Disney display and are about 3" by 2". Grab the lime green color one, take it to Staples, get it laminated, punch a hole in it and attach it to something you will have with you (backpack, stroller etc.).

This is of course, if you don't mind being approached by a fellow crazed DisMember :rolleyes1

We have gone three times during March break:thumbsup2 . The lines are definately longer but still manageable. We have been Easter week and July 4th week and March break is not nearly as busy as those times :sad2: . Just have the attitude that you may have to wait alittle longer in lineups. Bring extra snacks/toys for the kids to play with (bubbles etc) and you will be fine. Have a great trip!:cheer2:

Make sure you have a sweatshirt and capris. We would leave in the morning with shorts and t-shirts but by the time the parade's rolled around it got cold. We just threw our sweatshirts and long pants/capris for the kids in the backpack.

BTW, I live in Dartmouth to!;)

I will have to seriousely start sorting out the clothes. I want to pack as light as possible.

I think we are mostly planning on capris and t-shirts. And I will bring a couple of sweaters.

I still need to get us shoes.

I guess I should get to Home Depot and get me some Lime Green Mickey Heads too!!

I need something I can put on and take off of the stroller each day since we are planning on renting this time.

You're going to love it. I'll be at VWL the same time, well 9-14. Are you at WL or VWL? The resort is so incredibly relaxing. Have fun.

Lisa

Oh! And I should be at the P and P on the 11th!

We're going from the 8-15th and we can hardly wait! We'll be at CBR and have booked in to do the Snorkeling at the Living Seas. Has anyone done that?

This will be our 21st year visiting WDW during March Break! :cool1:

DH is a teacher and now both DSs will be as well! The important thing about travelling during this time is be prepared for waits, long lines and lots of fellow travellers from Ontario. With a little planning, such as using fast passes, avoiding early entrance parks and arriving first thing in the morning, you will have a terrific vacation. pixiedust:

We have never visited the parks and not run into someone we knew from Ontario! Actually, it has become somewhat of a tradition! The best encounter was when we ran into our neighbour who lives 6 doors down from us in a crowd of literally thousands of people during the MK fireworks!

Too Funny. It really is like that famous ride at the MK

Better pack a sweater folks, I just checked accuweather, the high temperatures aren't looking great:

March 4-71 F
March 5-66 F
March 6-74 F
March 7-79 F (yahoo!)
March 9-67 F
March 10-68 F
March 11-72 F

My trip is March 4-14, I know my son will still swim, but I think I'll be staying dry. Hope they are wrong.
