Hi Everyone!

This is our first time camping at FW and was wondering who else is going in September? We will be tenting and I'm so excited !!

We are going to be at FW in early Sept. providing CHARLEY does not do any damage here at home. As of right now, we are in the middle of the RED ZONE in the path predictions. Will be getting drinking water and starting the refer up so it is nice and COLD by tomorrow.

You will have a blast at FW. How long are you going to be there?

John

I hope the storm passes you without causing too much trouble....

We will be at FW September 12-19. The last time I was a Disney in August of 98 (had a brain strain at the end of my previous post..I put April) there was a hurricane. It never affected our trip at Disney but I got a really bumpy Flight on the way home over the Carolinas. This time we are driving down...

My Stepson is coming over from England and we are going to pack up the van and say we are going camping...Not gonna Tell him where..Lol!

Hope the hurricanes stay away while we are on vacation!

Laura

Will miss you by a week.

Your Stepson should be really surprised. We went to WDW this past weekend and did not tell our 2 grandsons, 3yo and 5yo. Told them they were going to see their aunt, uncle and cousin. When we came to the HUGE MICKEY HEAD at the west edge of WDW property(I-4 heading east), our 5yo shouted MICKEY!! and didn't have it register until grandma said that we were not visiting A/U/C but that they would visit us.

As fast as storm is moving, hopefully it might not be too bad if it hits us, but we always take precautions. We're 1 mile from Gulf and could get brunt of storm but WDW being mid state usually would not get full intensity.

When DD lived in Spartanburg, S.C. she had hail and wind damage from storm that produced a tornado near her and now she moved close to WDW so she gets our FL. storms.

Glad we have the spy in the sky to watch the storms.

John,

Too bad we will miss you by only a week:( Your Grandsons are at the Perfect age for Disney! Its so much fun watching the young ones experiancing the Magic at Disney. My boys were 6 and 9 the last time I went. This will be a totally different trip this time...going with teenagers! My brother lives on the Gulf side too..Venice Beach.

Well, I hope you weather the storms and have a wonderful trip !

Good luck to everyone in FL with the storms. I lived in LA most of my life so I'm used to them. Now in Atlanta, GA area so we just get the rain once they move onshore.

Anyway, we'll be in FW Sept. 25-Oct. 2. Not camping though - staying in the cabins. We're looking forward to it. We haven't told DDs (4 & 2) yet. I was hoping that we could surprise them too. We are often driving long trips to LA so they won't know where we're going. DH thinks we should tell them a few days before we leave. I don't think we should tell them at all.

Hi all. We thought about tent camping in Sept. also. I'm not a big camper. Are you worried at all about camping in a tent? What do ya do if it rains? Would also like to know are there enough activities at FW to keep you busy for two days without the parks? We love to fish and stuff.:earseek:

We will be there in Sept. We arrive on the 11th and leave on the 17th. We had our first trip to FW in Feb and the weather was not so great. We are looking forward to and hoping for a nice week.

We wont be camping but will be staying in the cabins Sept 21-26th. First time!

This will be our first time camping in FW. I love to camp and from what I have read it sounds like there is plenty of things to do at the campground. I have survived several Boyscout trips in the rain and I mean rain! My son's Scoutmaster is a jinx for this and since he will not be staying there I have a good shot at some sunny camping hee hee!

Just kidding! We will set up a tarp over the picnic area and even in the worst of weather I have never had a problem with a leaky tent. So I'm crossing my fingers.

It would be neat to meet up with some of you..we will be there Sept 12-19th.

I hope we all have nice weather!

Laura
