Well, we have a trip planned for November (non refundable timeshare) and we think we are ready to start trying for baby # 2 around May:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: . If we get pregnant right away, I would be 6 months along. I know each pregnancy can be different, and this would be assuming there were no complications along the way. With our first, I had a great one and exercised until month 7 or 8. If I have another good one, does anyone see any harm in it. I figure I could do the Fantasyland type rides and boat rides, and of course the shows. How about rides like Toy Story Mania? Thanks for your advice!

I was. I went one June and it was hot. I still had a ball though. My only problems that trip were that I generally have a hard time in the heat even when I am not pregnant and the first day there I had a stomach virus. Other than that it was fun. I didn't care what I looked like because, well, I love being pregnant! :lovestruc I also had a 3 year old and a 1 1/2 year old too. So we were pretty busy. Take breaks, drink a lot, and just go at a pace that you are comfortable with. Good luck!:cutie:

ETA- I would not do Toy Story Mania. It is way too jerky.

I was 5 months pregnant and loved it. I had just come out of the icky, nauseous stage and was ready to eat everything in sight!popcorn::
Good thing we had the dining plan. The food is what I remember most about that trip- only a prego would understand that.

I rode most everything. My doctor advised against some rides, but I did ride Space Mountain, RRC, etc.

Toy Story was not built, yet, but I most definitely would have rode that. I just stayed away from anything that would be too jerky.
Oh, also my doctor gave me a printout of my medical information to keep with me, just in case. She didn't anticipate any problems, but she said I would be glad I had all of the information with me if I needed to go to the hospital for any reason.

The main thing I would do, is to let your doctor know. I would not have ridden as many things with my first 2 pregnancies because they were a little more difficult. My third was uneventful in a good way, so I felt very comfortable doing all that I did. The walking felt great to me, although I did take more rest stops (usually to get a snack:rotfl2: )

I just can't say enough of what a great trip it was. I look back at those pictures with nice memories. :lovestruc

Thanks for the replies. I am excited - our DD is 3 now and I just turned 35 so I guess it is time. I don't want to get my hopes up as I know we may not be as lucky this time (we got pregnant first month trying with our DD). If we are lucky enough this time, I know I will love the food even that much more this trip. It will be no holding back.

I have heard that Toy Story was pretty jerky. Oh well.... that just means we have to go in 2010, too:cool1: :cool1:

Definetely get the stuffed french toast at the bakery on Main Street. It is oh so yummy, and don't forget the cinnamon sugar french toast at Crystal Palace, or the family style dinner at O'Hana, or a turkey leg, or some sausage gravy over biscuits at Chef Mickeys. Hmmmmm......did I do anything but eat that trip?:confused3 :lmao:

I just went two weeks ago...and it is a different ball game with a little one already! DS is 20 months and chasing him around and expending the extra energy with him, while being fairly tired from the pregnancy, was something I didn't really plan on. So, just a heads up on that! I work out regularly, too, but walking the parks, chasing a LO is a different tired!

As far as the rides go, I rode on nearly everything without a height restriction...if DS could go on it, I went on it....if not, then it was a no go for me. I would never consider riding a roller coaster while preggers...but to each their own!

I went 6 months pregnant. It was great because you are past the morning sickness stage (like another poster said) and I ate all the time. The walking was good for me too. I did, however, take nap breaks during the last few days that we were there. I had a great time, the magic of disney is not all about the rides, as you may know. It was the atmosphere, shows, food, scenery, etc that I really had a chance to enjoy. When everyone else was riding the thrill rides, I strolled around and found things I never knew were there. Have a great time.

I wouldn't go on the coaster, either. What I am most on the fence about are the ones that do jerk a little. I have heard Toy Story jerks, but not sure how much. I was hoping to do this one, but don't want to take chances. Also, this will be my DD's first time on Goofys Barnstormer. I would have loved to ride with her for her first time, but again, don't want to take chances. I would think Dumbo would be OK. I totally forgot about chasing our 3 year old around. She is VERY active, too. DH will be busy - I just tend to "take over" a little and will have to take a step back. Thanks for your tips.

Our last trip to the World was 4 years ago and I was prego w/ DS (about 6 months)... I thought it was the perfect time to go if going at all during a pregnancy...over the whole tiredness and nausea of the first trimester, but not big enough to be almost immobile! I rode what rides I could (I basically followed the guidelines posted..if it wasn't recommended for pregnant moms, then I sat it out.)... We took daily naps back at the resort which made a big difference and I have to say that the time I spent people watching while the others went on the bigger rides was alot of fun!!!

I was 5 months with TWINS, and it was the last hurrah trip my DH and I could go together before it became too much of a concern with a multiple pregnancy. It's a good time, as someone else mentioned, after the really sick phase (and mine was a morning, noon & night sickness:sick: ) and I wasn't too big yet. I did not do many rides however, b/c of the whole "dangers of multiple pregnancy thing" but I also think I may have been over cautious.

It's a great memory, and we have been able to take the boys multiple times starting from their first birthday. Disney has been in their blood since the womb.

I've been to Disney twice while pregnant. The first time I was just a few months pregnant (still in the hiding it phase) and the 2nd time I was 8 months. The key was drinking lots & lots of water. Other than that, it wasn't any different than our other trips. I think the only ride that threw me for a loop when I was newly pregnant was Soarin' bcs I felt a little sick on it. We had our 2 yr old with us so all the other rides were pretty tame.

I was just there for Thanksgiving and was 5 months along. It is a good time to go because it isn't too hot or humid (October was way worse heat-wise). I rode everything my two year old could including Toy Story Mania 4 times. It is a little jerky but not enough to cause concern. I had ridden it in July so I knew what to expect I didn't just jump on and hope for the best. Hope that helps.

I was and I loved it. There are still some rides that you can not ride and of course the heat. However, I would do it again. I loved having the excuse to eat whatever:rotfl:

Thank you so much for all the replies. I am even more excited about the possibility. I tend to rush a lot to make the next big ride, so it will be the perfect time for me to soak in more magic. Maybe I will get the Hidden Mickey book - that may be fun while the others are on the bigger rides.

I'll be 5 months pregnant during my stay in two weeks, and I'm pretty much just looking forward to eating. Thank goodness for the dining plan!!

I was almost 6 months pregnant last time I went. It was a completely different experience. I took time to sit and watch parades and people watch while my family went on the rides I couldn't. I followed Disney's regulations about being pregnant plus skipped a couple others.
All in all a great time and a very memorable trip. We might start trying again soon too and have a trip planned for September so I may be doing it again. :)

I DID! It was great. I wore MBT tennis shoes the whole time and so I was comfortable. I wasn't allowed to ride anything with animals (Safari, etc.) or the water rides. I'm not a coaster rider anyway so that was okay with me not to ride.

We did a lot of MK Fantasyland stuff and a lot of Epcot. We did a lot of character meals so it wasn't a big ride vacation. My husband rode the coasters while I took a break (or ran to the ladies' room, being 6 months pregnant).

I went in November last year and was almost 8 months pregnant. It was one of my favorite trips ever. The weather was incredibly cold everyday, which sucked but was much better than it being hot! I wasn't prepared for having to pee every 5 minutes and visiting all the restrooms on property, but she was sitting on my bladder the whole week. I didn't ride any of the coasters or thrill rides, but I did walk through Tower of Terror and then took the chicken exit (I just can't stay away from my favorite ride.) I had concerns about Toy Story Mania but I talked to several cast members, mainly women who looked like they had a kid or two, and they all said it would be fine. It does jerk, but it's not bad especially if you don't have the lap bar down too far on your belly. I pulled it down too far one time we rode it and it was a bit uncomfortable. I was too pregnant to have much room for food, but I did use the pregnancy excuse on our last night when I had two desserts in less than an hour.:lmao: As long as you are feeling ok, you should have a blast. Good luck!
