Who's working today

We're open until noon, but getting paid until 5:00.

I'm meeting my DH and the kids for lunch and then home to wrap gifts!

I am supposed to be here until 5:00 and will be unless the 1 manager that is here decides to let me and my co-worker go home early. She has done it before, but I am not sure if it is in the cards today.

I am doing as little as work as possible. I am getting ready to go to Wal Mart and Goodys for some last minute shopping at lunch, so that should take an hour or so.

I still haven't figured out why we couldn't have closed at least a couple hours early.

Me too...but the rest of the company gets mad when the corporate office closes early. Whatever.

Me! I was hoping to get out early, but it's not looking good!

Me either although one of the "managers" in my dept is running around making sure everyone has their work done by 2ish...maybe he knows something I don't

Me Too! I let all my staff leave at noon, I'm stuck until Payroll gets me their stuff. They are late.

I am "working" until 1 and then off until Monday . But I only work for two days next week as we're closed until the next Monday. I work as a paralegal at an Estate Planning law firm so at least I don't have to deal with customers. I used to be a bank teller and hated working over the holidays and I could never get it off (seniority).

My DH is. He's been working at least 12 hours the last few days. He's a Letter Carrier. He will probably be very late tonight. He told me yesterday that he will probably have to work tomorrow too. All the last minute packages. Oh well. It's good money and he's been getting great tips.

My uncle is also a letter carrier! I know it is hard work, but we get presents in the end. Think of all the joy he is spreading.

Yesterday I got a Christmas card from a high school friend. I was in her wedding and we keep in touch. She sent photos of her three boys, one of which graduated in JUNE! He looks great and I feel old. Just imagine what fun little thoughts he's delivering to everyone.

I'm here. We'll probably have early release for the department, so I'll let my co-worker go then, but I'll have to stay until 5:00. Phones have to stay open, even though they're not ringing. Likely, I'll be the only person on this end of the floor, just like Thanksgiving. Oh well...
