Off hand - Cdaniels1987 and jothp did last year without any bother plus many many more on various forums and people on here who have transformed them yet like Dlpdreams or MancityMickey
We've used them for non Disney things and will be doing so again
Don't forget that you've got the 20 joining fee plus 6,70 postage to add on.
We used them as Carrie Cat said. I was very easy. They send you what looks like a park ticket which you use to get into the park and then you take them to the annual pass office to get them changed into proper passes.
I have used them and converted them to Annual Passes 2 weeks ago. This was quite straightforward as I used the temporary passes to get in the park and then went to the Annual Passport Office to get our photos taken and the APs.
The only problem I had was that my mastercard got declined. I tried twice and it got rejected but money still got taken - I got mastercard to dispute the transaction as ce multiavantages said they couldn't refund me but was happy for me to dispute it! I had to use my visa debit card to pay for them which worked. It did all work out ok in the end!
The only reason I haven't used them is that it works out the same for a Dream pass with my shareholders discount once I have paid the fee to join. I don;t have kids so its not worth it.
It is a good deal if you can make use of the buy an adult pass & get a child one free though
might still have a go we are going for 4 and days cheapest i can get is £126 per person need 4 aduts as kids are 15 so even with the fee and p&p it seems a good deal plus discounts and EMH which we have never had in 7 trips *** always stayed off site going in july 21st so will wait till a few weeks before unles anyone know if the offer is ending
We bought ours, as Carrie_Cat says, with no trouble at all. We have got the "temporary passes", which look just like park tickets. I presume that we use these at the turnstiles to gain access, then pop across to the AP office.
I suppose some people could ask for the free under 7 pass for each adult one purchased, then pass them on through an internet auction site, if they were that way inclined?
Yes ManCityMickey - there clearly are some people that way inclined . Having said that, I haven't seen many actually sold tbh. I wonder if people are put off by these things if they don't really 'understand' it, if you see what I mean!
I try and explain APs and so on to those who ask but they still don't grasp it very well, especially the whole getting it made permanent etc - perhaps it's the way I explain it .
I knew there must have been someone else that had had that thought DLPDreams
I think you are right though... on these boards we take many things for granted as common knowledge about DLP. You only have to ask friends who have never been to DLP what they know, and it soon becomes clear how much knowledge we all gain and share on here.
People that aren't sure about these AP's are naturally sceptical. Its only the knowledge of everyone on here that lends itself to the reassurance we all gain from each other.
I've done it too. 2 Adults, 1 child (10) and 1 child free (4). I used google translate to explain the free child in an email to them. They arrived recorded delivery to my house real quick (2 weeks?) as 4 regular day pass type cards which we used to get access to the park, then later that day went to the passport office between the castle and Buzz Lightyear to exchange them. Easy peasy. Only I lost my passport a day later and it cost me 25E to replace it.
I just went last Saturday and had no problems trading my temporary pass in for the permanent one. Went very fast and they seemed to recognize the ticket in my hand immediately.
Received the temporary one in less then a week too, so good service in my opinion.
Sorry to hijack this thread but do you have to pay the membership fee on these discount sites before you buy the passes or can it all be done in one transaction?i
