Hey everyone, GOOD NEWS!! I GOT MY DATE!!!!!! WOOHOOOO! getting married 14th May 2008!!!:cool1:

There was a mix up though, I found out that when I originally rang disney I asked for the wedding pavillion, and was told that they would only book that 8 mths in advance. I then changed my mind to the yacht club gazebo and assumed that they only booked that 8mths in advance as well, I was wrong. I had e-mailed doreen and she also told me 8mths. Then she rang me today in a panic, saying it was wrong and it's only the wedding pavilion that they book at 8mths, and I could have been booked all along! I nearly had a heart attack when I realised that my date had been open to bookings for 4 months!!!!! But then she told me it WAS free!!! And they had my time slot free as well!!!! :goodvibes

Anyway I just had to share.

Now for my real question, who is the best for coming to your room and doing your hair and/or makeup? I have no idea who to pick and I need help and recomendations. Please help! I've had so many recommendations for things on this board that Im scared to choose on my own! Ha ha, Ive picked rev Jack Day for the wedding and Randy and Stan. You could say your all planning my wedding for me! :rotfl:

Wow, congratulations on the wedding and everything! Looks like your planner is really on the ball. Aren't Disney coordinators great? :)

Im going for About Face for my wedding. I emailed a ton of different options, and this was the one I chose. Jane, who I spoke to, was super nice and very interested in making things work for me. They charge a 75 dollar location fee, but they do come to your hotel and work on you for a few hours (two for me). She asked a lot of questions about my hair, skin, makeup and preferences and I feel really good about the choice. It seemed like she was giving everything a lot of thought. On a related note, when I originally called they were out of office, and when one of them called later that night and checked messages, she called me back to let me know they were out of office on assignments but would call me asap Monday, which they did. I was just pleased she was thoughtful enough to let me know what was going on and when I would hear from them.

Hope everything is fantastic for you!

First, CONGRATULATIONS on getting your date!!

I had Naomi from About Face. She was absolutely amazing!! Wonderful personality. Super friendly and professional. I had about 6 girlfriends and my mom hanging out in my room, keeping me company while she got me ready. They were taking tons of pictures and asking her lots of questions about the makeup she uses (some of it is their own line) and about her work and stuff. She didn't seem to mind at all. And I was sooo happy with the results. I've never felt more beautful in my life. Seriously. And it lasted ALL day. She started at about 5am, and my hair and make-up both still looked good at 10pm, after hours of being out in the heat and humidity and without any touch-ups. Naomi is wonderful!! Choosing About Face was by far the best wedding-related decision I made. Yes, they're expensive but for me at least, totally worth the cost.

Thank you soo much for your help. I have e-mailed onsite beauty and I'm waiting for them to get back but I will look into any others before making my decision. :goodvibes

I just did a hair and airbrush makeup trial with Patricia LeJeune.

She is very friendly and was very focused on getting exactly what I wanted. I told her I didn't know what I wanted, but as she worked it became evident that I knew exactly what I wanted b/c I kept having her change it! She spent nearly 4 hours working with me on hair and makeup, and we really hit it off.

Her prices are reasonable: $50/hair and $60/airbrush or $50/traditional makeup. Her location fee is $50, but she waived this for my trial, which was a flat $100.

I used Anna from Makeovermajic for hair and makeup. She was great. Originally I booked Lisa pena but I was not happy with my trial run.

Here is a picture of the trial run:She did a good job but not the look I was looking for.

oooohh How exciting that there's another Disney bride there at the same time :cool1: I've had an e-mail back from onsite beauty and they seem reasonable. Has anyone used them before?
