Who's sailing April 18-22, 2004 - gotta start this sometime!!

Bostonlass--Liz loves to go clothes shopping. However, she can have no tags, nothing scracthy, nothing that is too tight around the neck, it has to sit below her belly (and she has a belly!!), no elastic around the wrists. You can imagine how difficult it is living with her through the winter months!! Alex, DS is just.....odd!! no other word for it!!

Well, we made to 100 posts!

We are really lucky to have run into everyone on this thread. A lot of other cruise meets are only 2 pages long. I got a PM from another DISer who is going on our trip. I invited her to join us on this thread, so hopefully she will find us.

DW and I have started to go to the tanning booth so we won't get burned. Does anyone else do this? or is just an Ohio thing since there is NOOO sun in Ohio. In fact, do you know what we call the third straight day of rain (or snow) in Ohio? Monday!!!

I have started keeping track of how many more suits and ties I have to wear before I can spend a WHOLE WEEK without one (except at Triton's). I can't wait to get these things off my neck.

hi all! This is the daughter of ScottOhioCPA . My name is Mindy. I just wanted to say hi to Becky(disneysailors daughter) and Cat(thebets57's daughter)! I cannot wait to meet you guys on the cruise!
::MinnieMo :wave2: :smooth: :bounce: :earsgirl:  :sunny:

Hey all! I am on the trip as well, although we are doing the land/sea thing, so we will be at WDW on the 15th. It will be my mom (42), me (24), and my DD-Jerianne (4). We are going for my DD's 4th bday, it will be a blast. PM me if you would like to chat.

Amanda

Welcome Amanda! You will love cruising!!! We will be at WDW from Weds til the cruise at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. Where will you be staying? How's the snow in CO? We dream of skiing there!! Someday............But, right now, we dream of the Bahamas and warm Carribean Seas............!!!

Welcome to the April 18th thread. Glad you found us. :D

Your daughter is sure to have a "wonder"ful birthday!:earseek:

Our daughter was 4 when we made our first trip to WDW. She had a blast. I can still remember her skipping down Main Street at 11:00 pm, while DW said "I'm tired, let's go back to the hotel."

Talk to you later!

Scott's countdown to the Mickey Ship:
:smooth: 14 more ties :smooth:

Scottohiocpa - Only 15 more ties! That's a great way to think of this trip! I just love the creative ways we are working down the countdown. I think I'll just go with how many possibilities of accidents until then. DH and I were at the ER again last night - this time with Cara (youngest DD) - she decided that she would take a header off of her brothers bunk bed. I tell ya - this ol' heart just can not take much more. Luckily they tell us - the younger they are the easier they bounce -- these kids are going to put me into an early grave - BUT they need to wait until AFTER my DISNEY CRUISE!

Scottohiocpa DD - my DD is 12 1/2 and her name is Casey. She is very excited to meet others on the cruise around her same age. She is bringing her friend Dani along and she going to be 11 at the end of March. They are both eager to meet new friends.

Cat - Casey says hello. She has been very busy with school work. End of the grading period -- hope all is well with you and your family and we all look forward to meeting you and your family.

immalemon - welcome - welcome! Your dd is going to have a great time. This is our first cruise - but this group of people are fantastic. We are meeting at scoops -- to actually get to meet in person. It should be lots of fun. Our youngest dd is turning 3 a couple of days before the trip and my bday is the day we get off the ship. It's a fun filled adventure for everyone!

Well, have to run - a few more things to get done before I head off to work...I can't even get up the energy right now to count this one better than Scottohiocpa! I'm too tired!

See all really really soon!

:earsboy: :earsgirl: :earsgirl: :earsboy: :earsboy: :earsgirl: and :earsgirl: and even more:earsgirl: :earsgirl: :earsgirl:

goofy601-Oh no, not again!:( I hope your daughter is doing well. You must be developing a bunk bed phobia by now. At least they put them away during the day on the ship (I think I'm remembering that right anyway).

Scottohiocpa- no tanning for this family. Getting my stitches out today, Dr. wouldn't be too happy to hear I'm going tanning. She's actually trying to convince me to buy some type of sunscreen clothes(???). She claims she doesn't have stock in the company, but I don't know. I'll just have to hope plain old sunscreen and shade do the trick! My skin only seems to to pale and red anyhow so tanning wouldn't do me any good.

Mindy- Becky is looking forward to meeting you in person too. It sounds like there are lots of fun activities planned for your age group.

immalemon-Welcome! How fun to have three generations traveling together. I hope you all have a great time ( how can you not?!!).

Is everyone doing some kind of park before or after the cruise? I can't remember. We will really only have the one day at IOA/US parks before but two nights at the HRH. Last time we did five days at WDW before the cruise and it really didn't cost too much more, but is was January not spring break. This time couldn't convince dh to take the extra time off. Oh well, we'll still have LOTS of fun!!!

See you soon! Only 46 more loads of laundry to go!!

Hi We are cruising with you all as well. We're New Englanders as well, from Medford. This is our first cruise and we can't wait! Myself, my husband, daughter 13 and son 9 are sooo excited.
Hope to meet some of you there!

sheilacat-Are you cruising on the 18th or the 17th? We all leave on the 18th. I wan't sure if you're post dates were for your whole trip or just the cruise. Anyway, if your cruising the 18th it'll be great to meet you, if it's the 17th, I'm sure my 13 year old son will be disappointed;) but there is a thread (April 17, 2004 -- anyone going with us? ) on the cruise meet board for that date too. Good luck with your trip planning!

Welcome sheilacat & immalemon!

We have a DS, 13 and a DD, 8. We will be doing WDW after the cruise (please do not tell the kids--they have no clue!!:) ).

Goofy601--ok-I think you need to tie those kids to the floor. Thanks goodness all is well. It can be very scary. Alex fell on the ice last winter walking to the car. He had a concussion, memory lost and was out of school for over two weeks. I was flipping out because I work with kids who have suffered brain injuries!! You simply thank God for healthly kids and move on.:)

Disneysailor-- Holy cow! I forgot about your test. Hopefully the results were ok. I am still on Meds (form the cancer) and my doctors flip out everytime they hear that I am heading south! We will be the glow in the dark family! :sunny:

We are sailing with you guys as well, dh 32, currently overseas, myself, 24 and dd 4.
I have read quite a bit of your posts and you sound like a very enthusiatic group.
We are taking this cruise as a welcome home to my husbad who has been gone since Jan 03. He is a member of the Iowa National Gaurd.
Still waiting for our docs. Hopefully dh will be home int he next two weeks. And as many of you are we are driving down too.

Margie

Welcome to all our new travel mates! We are very excited to have you all traveling with us. :Pinkbounc

travelwithkids - send rope - and lots of it! My heart can not take much more of this! I think my children are trying to put me into an early grave. I'm just saying a quick prayer every morning and hoping for the best!

disneysailor - NO! No bunk beds for my room - please! LOL! I am going to have to pack rope and duct tape -- think that will work to keep my kids on the floor and out of harms way?!?
Thanks for the creative countdown - I can only hope that I have less laundry to do than you - but it doesn't sound promising!

Take care and see you all in 3 Sundays!

Thebets57 - We are staying at the beach club resort. I am so looking forward to it. And the snow in colorado, what snow? This year was not a great year, and winter is over. We will probably get a couple more in, but nothing that will stick. I love the summers here in Colorado more anyway, but we need the snow to keep the summers beautiful.

I just hope we make it to the cruise. I have got some kind of stomach thing where i cannot hold anything, and i mean anything down. Was in ER last night cause i was dehydrated and needed fluids. And to top that off, my DD 4 was just Diagnosed with pnemonia yesterday. UGH. This is only happening because I have bragged about how easy my daughter has been to take care of cause she has never been sick, past a lil runny nose! We just all better get better by the time our plane leaves. Better to get sick now, and get over with it, than to get sick on the trip. Well, hope you all are doing better than us.

Amanda

immalemon - Welcome :) I can't wait to sing happy birthday to your daughter! Hope she heals quickly from the pneumonia and that you get over your stomach bug. I had a tummy flu that lasted about 4 days and it was no fun.

scottopia - I've had 4 moles removed so far so no tanning for me. I'm bringing 30 block and stayin' in the shade!!!

goofy - omg....I used to have bunk beds for Emily and Megan but I had to take them down after a few months. No one fell or anything but I was worrying myself into a tizzy so it wasn't worth it to me. Megan is my accident prone child...whenever she is carrying anything that might spill you will find me not too far behind her with the paper towels!

I'm starting to sell more things on ebay in the hopes of making extra spending money for the trip.....we'll see how I do.:teeth:

Welcome!! Wow! You have not seen your husband since January 2003? Oh wow! I feel silly complaining about my husband not being here in the evenings. We thank you, your family and your husband for your commitment to our Nation. Hope you have a great and well deserved vacation!!

You will be able to spot our group from the Dis Board on the cruise. We have Goofy601 who will be bouncing around with her children!! (the smiles are not working tonight!!).

travel with kids,

Thank you so much for the support it makes this whole thing that much easier! He was home in Jan for two weeks on leave but it went by so quick. We are really hoping this time will help us get over the seperation period and transition our dd a little easier. She has had a hard time dealing with dad being gone.

You all seem so enthusiastic and like a great group, my husband actually found this site when he had internet access. I am gonna try to remember to get those disboard buttons for us. I am really glad to know others on board. This is our first cruise and I am kinda freaking between packing and getting ready for dh return home we will not have much time between his return and the cruise.

not too much longer

Margie

Bostonlass - you might call Disney travel at 1-800-511-1333 and ask if they've been sent. A few weeks ago they knew what day they were sent to my TA, who then sat on them for a week before forwarding them to me.
