We walk to school everyday - lots do here. For this past week, we've past a home (where they have school-aged children), and the same poop has been in the middle of the sidewalk. They have a hose hooked up in the front of their house. They know many people pass their house on the way to and from school. Why can't they take a few seconds to hose it into the grass?
Now there is another house (5 houses away from school) with a bunch of dog poop on the sidewalk. The poor kids were stepping in it on the way to school.
In our town, we are responsible for clearing our sidewalks from snow (or else get a fine), and paying to replace them if they are so cracked that someone could get hurt. Shouldn't these homeowners be responsible for removing poop? This has never happened in front of our home, although we've removed a few dead birds.
The original home owners are the leaders of our scouting community, so lots of people know and respect them. The poop is bugging me.
