Who's packing/preparing??

This our 1st Fall trip. How bad are the t-storms lately? Do they put a damper on the day & rides being open.

Looking for some advice from Fall WDW experts or FL residents.

Thanks in advance! :flower3:

No, you're not obsessed, just organized! I started revising my 9 packing lists since our last trip (Spring 2004) and started packing my Disney boxes in Feburary when we booked our trip. So, if your obsessed, what does that make me? :rotfl2:

I've been putting things in the Disney boxes that have been purchased expressley for the trip, or those things that we will not be using until the trip. I absoluetly hate to pack, so by having these extremely detailed lists, and having the ability to do it a bit at a time, I will not be stressed about it when the trip gets closer. I've already packed the toiletries bags (one for the kids and the other for me - DH is on his own!).

I've also been compiling three lists to help me stay organized: 1) things to make/do before the trip; 2) things to purchase before the trip; and 3) things I want to purchase once I get to the parks. I have an absolutely horrible memory these days, so if I didn't have these lists I'd be sooooo lost.

Am I going to try to have the house picked up before we leave, but the goal of doing "Disney cleaning" is on my dream list. I love to come home to a clean house, but it never happens. Oh well. In my wildest dreams, I guess. :cloud9:

The other thing I've started to do is put together a binder for our trip with dividers for all the places we're going to visit and things we'll do. So far I have 14 sections!

Why am I doing all this? Because who knows when we'll get back to Disney World, and I want to make the most of it while were there. I don't want to have to be trying to figure out all this stuff then; I want to get it out of the way now so I can turn on the autopilot when we get there.

So, am I nuts?

No....I have a colored clip art maxed out calendar, and am starting our packing lists. Trying to decide if shld ship stuff to myself at the resort..btw we are at POR same dates...we lv 10-19. So we'll see you there! If you here loud Texas screeching, that's just me discoverin i forgot something i absolutely had to bring!

I leave on Saturday morning for a fun filled week with my sister at The World. Havn't really started packing yet...all I have really done is bought a ton of stuff to take and filled my travel bottles with toiletries. Friday is when I will do my laundry and actually pack my clothes. Also cleaning the apartment like a mad woman so I won't come home to a pigpen.

I'm with you -- I'm also nervous about the weather. I'm traveling with 2 young kids and it will suck to get stuck in a huge rainstorm & get all wet. They will be so cranky the rest of the day (me too!:headache: )
From what I've heard, it might rain hard for up to an hour, then be clear the rest of the day- but its that hour that worries me. We are leaving this Friday, and weather.com shows Tstorms just about everyday (except Tuesday) I think I'll run out & buy a few more cheap ponchos.

We are leaving in less than 12 days!!! I can't wait. I have most everything packed for the baby. I just need to get DH and I packed. I get to check something off of my list everyday. Pop Century - here we come!

I've got my Disney bag packed with ponchos, fans, gift cards & the WDW tickets. Now all I have to do is start laying out the clothes that I want to take so that I don't wear them....LOL....don't want to have to rush to get them washed again before we go see Mickey!! :lmao: Now if I could just rush through the rest of this work week I'd be a really happy person!!:)

Wooo Hoooo! 8 days to go....:cool1:

I'm not alone in my pre Disney rituals!!
Cleaning here getting everything in order before we go so we can come home to a tidy house! I've got the suitcases out and half packed.

I need to go to the store and buy all my film, and drink packets for the water.
Got the snacks, ponchos, sunblock, and regular Disney paraphinalia all in the bag ready to go!:dance3:  :dance3:

Now that I'm packed, I cannot wait for the remaining 2 days to go by!!!!! My Dh and I were just saying yesterday how the anticipation is killing us, and once we're there the time will just fly by so quick. I wish there was a way to slow time down and WDW (well, just not when you're inline for the rides:laughing: ).

We leave this Friday, 9/28. This weekend is Packing Central at our house! I was chained to the ironing board yesterday, but I am in the home stretch today. :laundy:

Packing will start this weekend at our house. Since we have been having such warm weather I haven't been able to pack our summer weather clothes yet.

LWe have 39 days to go and I've s tarted getting stuff together. Since I'll be shipping box down ahead of time thought I should start. :thumbsup2

2 weeks from today DH and I will be enjoying our dinner at Tutto Italia!!!

I have finished all of my packing minus shoes and a dress. The day before I will revise my suitcase and clothes depending on how the weather looks. I tend to overpack and this gives me a chance to weed out any extras I probably won't need.

This weekend I will pack my carry-on and do an update to our "quart-sized plane ziplock bags" of toiletries. I'll also prepare the bookbag for travel.

The weekend before we leave, I will do a deep clean of the house including kitchen, bathroom, and laundry. Those areas seem to get backed-up the most before a trip.

That will leave the night before (Tuesday) to put everything by the door and try to get 4 hours of sleep. Argh! I just remembered we have pictures @ church the night before too! I'm glad I typed this post otherwise I might have forgotten!
