Fried Lobster watching was the only thing that I could think of ...lol We use to sail Carnival alot and when we would dock in Cozumel my wife and I would watch from our balcony towards the last minute boarding time and watch the parade of wheelchairs coming to the ship :confused3 These were the passengers that were just too drunk to walk so crew members would wheel them back to the ship ...it was funny as could be :rotfl2: ...

Just got off the phone with Southern Elegance Limo and we are all set up for our ride to the port , we did have Disney transfers but after reading that they dont get to the port till about 1:30 we had to rethink that , I didnt want to be sitting in the lobby of our hotel knowing that the ship was already to recieve us ...Plus I want to make sure things will be ready for the Meet and Greet as well .....( Dont want any dirty laundry laying around when you fine folk show up :rotfl2: :lmao: )

Is there anyway to go to sleep tonight and week up next week ??? :lmao:

I wish DS was here to read THIS! I'm a firm believer that there are times when he needs to learn the hard way...such as when he said, "Dad, it's cloudy...I don't NEED sunscreen" on the '05 Wonder trip! :bitelip: He was so overbaked from the sun that it made him physically ill...right in the middle of Triton's floor! So someone PLEASE ask him in the "Meet & Greet" if he brought his sunscreen! :rotfl2:

:rolleyes1 On the second day of Cruisemas, Walt Disney gave to me:
Two fun excursions,
And a week on a Magic sea!

Well before the Tuxes went to the Dry Cleaners I had to share this ...Please keep in mind he needs a haircut beofre we leave and I forgot to put the black button studs on ....

DESTINTUX.jpg

ADORABLE!!!

I only wish I could get my son to do the tux thing. Heck, I'm only 85% convinced myself! It took me about 45 minutes of foraging through box after box in the basement to find the Disney tie/cummerbund set. :teeth:

ITA - He is absolutely adorable! :thumbsup2

EE is Expedition Everest at AK. You MUST ride this. It's totally cool. We'll be at AKL so I guess I'll see you on the highway. :teeth:

Smileneyes - I'll try to put a plug in there for you about the importance of sunscreen. :rotfl: It stinks being burnt. Been there, done that and don't plan to repeat it if I can avoid it.

I'm going camping this weekend just to pass away more time. I have to stay busy. No since in sticking around the house looking at the stuff I need to put in a suitcase if I'm not hitting the road for a few more days. :rolleyes1 C'mon already! :hourglass

"So someone PLEASE ask him in the "Meet & Greet" if he brought his sunscreen!"

Oh yeah, so I really want to start the cruise with your son mad at you and me - NOT. Just wait till he reaches 15. Then he will REALLY know it all :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

Todd - Destin is so handsome in that picture. He will be quite the little gentleman on formal night.

Lisa

Don't sweat it about the decorations. We'll just settle for the "DisneyVegas Musical"...right gang? :dance3: :dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

Speaking of which: Is there an updated list of peeps floating around here? DS was asking about his peers on the ship.

I have a DS - 10 (Nathan). He's all I got. Do I need to round up some neighborhood kids? How old is your son?

Sing it, Smileneyes!

ITA - I was disappointed they were out of the Bon Voyage decorations, but I'm sure everyone's smiling face will light the place up (as if the Walt Disney suite needed sprucing up). :teeth: ;) We can bring silly string in an assortment of colors if you want us to. :smooth: It might not be the best idea, but it'd sure be fun.

Okay, who is going to have a room sign? I didn't think about that until last night. Is it too late? Where can I find some examples?

We originally had second seating because that was all that was available when we booked. I was able to change it to main seating. Yeah! :cheer2: It is so much easier with the girls.

How did you find out what dining rotation you were on? I called DCL but they could not help me.

We are all looking forward to meeting everyone on the 17th!

Kathy (Mom to Molli and Emma)
Molli (7)
Emma (3)
Becki (Auntie to Molli and Emma)
Mary Jane (Busia (Grandma) to Molli and Emma) :grouphug:

DS (Matthew) is 13. When we first booked, he was excited because he would now be a "teen" and get to go into The Stack. Now that Ocean Quest is open, he's more psyched about that...I think the age group appeals to him better.

I've made a room sign, but it's a Word doc, and I can't think for the life of me how to make it viewable. Computer illteracy is one of my strong points! :rotfl2:

:rolleyes1 On the third day of Cruisemas, Walt Disney gave to me:
Three swimming pools,
Two fun excursions,
And a week on a "Magic" sea!

(Are y'all gonna be able to hang in until I complete the song?!

Hi guys!
My DD helped me make a new door sign and we printed it out and packed it. We are really getting close now. Can't wait for the party!

I love that idea - can't wait to see the "DisneyVegas Musical." I heard some repeat crusiers are getting tired of the shows onboard, so you could take it to the theatre. We'll be there to cheer you on. :happytv:

"Speaking of which: Is there an updated list of peeps floating around here? DS was asking about his peers on the ship."

The only guys I know of on the board around your son's age is Jess, 15 (my son) and Dylan, 14 (Todd's son). I'm sure there will be lots of other teen's he'll meet to hang with and stay out all hours of the night.

By the way, for the seasoned cruisers - what kind of rules do you have for your teens? Can they stay out as late as they want - do they have to check in at certain times - do you go to sleep while they're still out (I really hope so cause there's no way I can stay up till all hours)...?

:teacher: It's only a week and a day till we leave for our magical trip. After a year of planning I can't believe it's finally here.

Thanks, Lisa! Hopefully the guys will bond on the trip. We were on the Wonder in '05, but pretty much stuck together much of the time. I'm thinking about setting a curfew on the nights before we hit a port, particularly because I want DS to be energetic enough to enjoy what we've committed ourselves to seeing. We're going to eat meals together...but beyond that I don't know how long his leash will be. I'm curious as to what others are planning as well. :grouphug:

Well Dylan will not be staying out till when he wants , trust me on that ...I do set curfews with him all depending on his little brother and of course what we have planned ...on Days at Sea he can do his on thing till dinner , then we eat and decide from there how late he can stay out to ....On Port nights an 11pm curfew for Dylan will be in Full effect . I know its his vacation too but I wont let my 14 out till whenever unless its a supervised actitivity ... I know what I was up to at 14 .. :rotfl2: :lmao: .lol The above could all change by cruise time - but as of right now the leash is a little tight ... :rotfl2:

Attention all cruisers The DisneyVegas1 Musical has been cancelled due to lack of interest by the participant... :rolleyes1

But we could do like a Rocky Horror Picture thing at the showing of POTC on the DUMBO Tron , Of course I will be Capt. Jack ..lol pirate: I actually believe there is a script for this too ....Id have to research it and see if I can find it ...

I found it , I found it ...Tell me what you think .....

The POTC Interactive Script
Homage to the creators, writers, and actors of
The Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl!

Every interactive must include the salute to Johnny Depp's character, Captain Jack Sparrow, during his entrance scene, when he stands to pay homage to the hanging pirates. You may stand or remain seated (if standing means that you will block someone's view of the screen. Our enjoyment of this is not intended to ruin someone else's.) When Jack removes his hat and holds it to his chest, you mimic this movement and when he salutes the pirates with his left hand, you simultaneously do likewise. This is the cornerstone of our tribute and each interaction must include it.

If you are unfamiliar with the script, we suggest that you bring small penlights to check the lines, while the movie is playing. Please, no big flashlights that will distract people.

Suggested costumes: Pirate regalia, including boots, coats, sashes, bandanas and trinkets in your hair; townsfolk, blacksmith, wench, 18th Century naval officer, governor, maid, butler, dockmaster, guard.

Suggested props....stuffed parrots, green apples, keys (for the jail cell), bones, gold crowns (the cardboard type that you can get for New Years Eve are good for this), gold coins, gold medallions, stuffed monkeys, ladies fans, compass. (We request that you do not bring any swords, knives or other weapons, as there are often children at these interactives and we don't want anyone to be injured! As well, most theaters would have a policy prohibiting weapons from being taken inside.)

Interactive Action Suggestions
These are actions that can be done throughout the movie, at the opportune moments.
EVERYTIME we hear the name JACK SPARROW or CAPTAIN JACK SPARROW...we have to stand and salute. Not just when Gibbs says "Jack". It has to be the whole name.

Examples:
When Elizabeth says "Jack? Jack Sparrow?" We stand and salute.
When Elizabeth says, "This is Jack Sparrow's doing." We stand and salute.
When Jack says, "I'm Captain Jack Sparrow." Stand and salute.

Whenever the word "eunuch" is uttered during the movie, whether by Jack or by the audience, raise your hand in the air and do a "snip snip" motion with your two fingers.

Cursed Pirates (skeleton) interaction: whenever the skeletons appear on screen. Rattle bones (or bracelet to simulate the sound of bones) or wave small Jolly Roger Flag.

Medallion interaction: to be done whenever the pirate medallion is displayed. Swing medallions on a chain or jingle pirate gold coins.

Hat theme interaction: to be done when scene changes from Pirates to British Navy. Change hats from pirate hat to British Navy Tricorn (for those not in full costume).

Fighting device to be used instead of swords: feathers.

Compass: when the compass appears, we hold up our own, turning it in different ways and pointing.

Slapping sounds during Scarlett, Giselle, & Anna Maria scenes.

Hold up a marble when Ragetti loses his eye, "Me eye!"

Hats on/off depending on what state of hattedness Captain Jack is in.

The Interactive Script

Int 1) In the opening scene, when Gibbs says, 'A lot of good it did them. Everyone's thinking it. I'm just saying it"... We yell, "WHERE'S JACK!!??"

Int 2) When Will is standing in the front hall of the governor's mansion...we say, "Don't touch anything." When he breaks the candelabra, make a "TSK" sound and whisper loudly, "Well, hide it, quick!"

Int 3) When Jack says to the dockmaster, "And we forget the name."....We say, "Academy voters did !"

Int 4) When Jack picks up the dock master's coin pouch and shakes it to check its contents, we do likewise.

Int 5) When Jack is under the bridge checking out the Interceptor and looks over his shoulder towards the audience.... we say "We got your back...go on!"

Int 6) Jack: (talking to the two guards)...after he says, I've heard of one, nigh uncatchable....we say, "The Black Pearl."

Int 7) When Jack says, "Clearly you've never been to Singapore." Everyone should say, "No, but we've been to (enter name of host city* here). *Host city* is where the interactive is being held.

Int 8) When Jack sees the medallion around Elizabeth's neck and asks her, "Where did you get that?" We shout out, "She stole it!"

Int 9) As Jack is testing the blacksmith to see if he is really asleep, when he spins around and yells "Whoa"...everyone yell it with him.

Int 10) During the swordfight, when Jack asks Will, "Who makes all these?" We say, "The Keebler Elves."

Int 11) Jack: (to Will's admonishment that he cheated)... "Pirate."

Int 12) In the jail cell, when the other prisoner says about the Pearl, "Never leaves any survivors." And Jack says, "No survivors?" We immediately say, "Then where do all those reality shows come from I wonder?" (a nod to Jerry Bruckheimer)

Int 13) After the two cursed pirates walk away, leaving Jack behind in the cell...we say, "What do you think of that Jack?" to which he replies...That's very interesting.

Int 14) On board the Pearl, when Barbossa asks Elizabeth if the medallion she's holding is a family heirloom perhaps, and Elizabeth replies that she didn't steal it 'if that's what you mean'...part of the audience should yell out "Liar!!" followed immediately by the rest of the audience yelling, "Thief!!" (reference to one of Johnny Depp's other movies -- Dead Man)

Int 15) In the jail cell, after Jack says to Will, "How's that? The key's run off."...We rattle our keys in the air and yell out, "Here!!"

Int 16) When Will says his name and Jack says, "That would be short for William, I imagine." We say, "No -- RALPH!!"

Int 17) Jack: (on the Dauntless) says "Everyone stay calm", we join him and say "We are taking over the ship."

Int 18) Aboard the Dauntless, when Will says, "I'm not a simpleton, Jack. You knew my father." Without pause, we jump in and say "Go ahead Jack, tell him." Jack then acknowledges, "I knew him."

Int 19) On the Interceptor, when Jacks says, 'Tortuga' and Will asks, 'Tortuga?'....we yell "TORTUGA!!!" with the enthusiasm of a crew excited to be going there.

Int 20) In Tortuga, when Jack is trying to tell Gibbs that Will is his leverage, by nodding his head in Will's direction...after the third time, when Gibbs looks over towards Will, we say in an exasperated tone, "He means the eunuch!!" To which Gibbs replies, "The kid?"

Int 21) After Gibbs tells Jack that Cotton trained the parrot to talk for him and says, No one's yet figured how...right at the moment that Jack starts to turn away, we say, "Ask the parrot."

Int 22) After Gibbs says to Jack, "It's frightful bad luck to bring a woman aboard, sir." We say (overtop of Jack's next line) "Is that a plane?" (A reference to the POTC blooper reel) Jack then walks away and Will and Gibbs both look up.

Int 23) When Jack is in the cave with Will and says..."I know it's difficult for you, but please stay here....We join Jack in saying, "And try not to do anything stupid".

Int 24) (in the cave after Barbossa cuts Elizabeth's hand)...When Pintel asks 'how do we tell?' in reference to whether the curse is broken...we say, "Shoot him Barbossa."

Int 25) When Pintel says, "Down to the depths whatever muttonhead thought up parley" and Jack says, "That would be the French." We yell out, "Inventors of mayonnaise." (another reference to the blooper reel)

Int 26) When Jack is conversing with Barbossa on the Black Pearl and sits to eat a green apple....the audience should take out a GREEN apple of their own and munch along with Jack. (please do not leave the apple cores in the theatre, be courteous. We don't want the theatre management angry with us, so that they bar the next group from trying to do this)

Int 27) On board the Interceptor, when Gibbs is yelling at the crew to lighten the ship and says, "Anything we can afford to lose..." We yell...."Politicians! Lawyers!"

Int 28) When Gibbs says, "Load the guns! Take shot and langrage...nails and crushed glass"...Yell again..."And the lawyers!!!"

Int 29) (on the Pearl, when Jack yells, "Stop blowing holes in my ship")...we say with him...."Stop blowing holes in Jack's ship."

Int 30) "On the Pearl, when Will is negotiating with Barbossa and Barbossa says, "Yes we know that one. Anything else?" We immediately say, "And I want 20 million for the sequel!!!" Will then says, "And the crew are not to be harmed."

Int 31) On the island, when Jack says to Elizabeth...unless you have a rudder and a lot of sails hidden in that bodice....we say, "Unlikely."

Int 32) When the camera does the close up of Jack sleeping on the beach, while Elizabeth is burning the place down....we yell.... "Jack !! WAKE UP !!" at which point he jerks awake and looks over towards us.

Int 33) Jack (to Elizabeth after she explains why the rum is gone)... "But why is the rum gone?"

Int 34) When Jack draws his pistol on Elizabeth on the island and pauses ...we say "Shoot her! We would!"

Int 35) Aboard the Pearl, while Pintel is swabbing the floor and telling Will about Bootstrap...when he yells at Ragetti, "I'm telling the story!!" We say, "Well, let's hear it then."

Int 36) When Pintel and Ragetti are in the rowboat and Pintel says to Ragetti, "Stop that! I already feel like a fool." After Ragetti responds, "You look nice though." We say, "You really do."

Int 37) On the Pearl, when Elizabeth picks up the rope to ready the boat and says, "Ready? And heave!..." We say, "HO!!!"

Int 38) When Barbossa starts to bleed, say, "I'm melting" in your best Wicked Witch of the West voice.

Int 39) Then when Barbossa says, "I feel....". We ask, "Hot?" He replies, "Cold," and we then say, "Ohhhh."

Int 40) On the Dauntless, when the battle with the pirates is over and Governor Swann looks down at the bureau drawer, we say, "Don't do it!" After he peeks in the drawer and makes a face, at that moment, we say, "Told ya!"

Int 41) Jack (After the battle in the cave, when Jack comes up to Will and states....if you were looking for the opportune moment).... "That was it."

Int 42) During the hanging scene, when the official says, "Jack Sparrow, be it known that you have...." Everyone should stand to do their normal salute. This time however, REMAIN standing and when Jack sighs and says "Captain, Captain Jack Sparrow." We join in with him and yell "Captain!!! CAPTAIN JACK SPARROW" while giving him our final and most emphatic salute of the show.

Int 43) When Norrington says to Will, "This is a beautiful sword." We say, "Thanks. I'll tell the elves."

Int 44) When Gillette asks Norrington, "What's your plan of action? Sir?...we yell, "Let's go to Disneyland !!"

Int 45) After Jack tells the crew to get back to work, as soon as he says, "Now show me that horizon", we say "Second star to the right and straight on 'til morning." (Peter Pan/Finding Neverland reference)

Int 46) When Jack says, "And really bad eggs"...we join him and say "Drink up me 'earties yo ho."

You may want to yell some of these and others just say them.
For instance, when you are calling to Jack to wake up....,
it should be shouted, because you want him to "hear" you.

The script is great! Can you imagine how much fun that would be! Anything Rocky Horror style with the looks of Captain Jack Sparrow (you know  kind of sexy; unlike Meatloaf, who I love dearly, but does not make the blood rise ;) ) would be fabulous.

Lisa

 see ya soon

This would be hilarious to do! People would just look at us all like :confused3
