Who's on a BLT waitlist for 2009? Details??

We currently have BLT LV from Oct 7th-Oct 13th and on a waitlist for MKV

Does this mean that DVC members using points can only get a reservation based on the number of rooms bought by DVC members? In other words, a room could be available but not for use on points? Sorry for the question, but I'm new to DVC.

Yes, only rooms declared into inventory are available for reservations on points. The rest are owned by the developer and availabe through CRO for cash.

As they sell more points and declare more inventory, I am told that they release more rooms and sometimes WL get filled. I am really hoping that will happen.

But, I will be calling MS daily to check since I could only WL a LV room. Since I would take either studio or MK view, I have to call to see if those become available.

does it take awhile for you waitlist to show up on the member site? should i just call and ask, would that be quicker?

Just FYI, I received word that my WL came through last Friday and it finally showed up on the DVC Member website this morning. So, yes, definitely call daily to put your mind at ease. Good luck!

Can't decide. We are booked for Jambo house Savannah view and WL for BLT lake view.

I got a call yesterday from MS. They could fill one of my days with a MK 1 bedroom but I let her know that I wanted all 4 nights or keep my LV for Labor Day weekend. She said they'd keep trying to fill my waitlist. I got on in March so I must be right there in line for those dates if they open up

We got a 1 bedroom MK view for 11/29/2009, and we are still waitlisted for a MK studio for our other nights 11/30 through 12/9/2009. Currently we have a Bay Lake studio for 11/30 through 12/9/2009.

We are excited about the 1 bedroom MK view for our 1st night. Its our first DVC stay and its a Christmas Party night so Holiday Wishes! YAY!

I called on the first day that MS were taking reservations for a GV MK view for Christmas 2009. I am wait listed for the MK view. Have a GV lake view, but really really wanted MK view. I'm hoping more inventory will be released by my ressie date of 12/27. I call MS every now and then and check the website frequently, but nothing yet.

I am calling everyday to check the other views for my August trip. I know mine is a long shot, but I could only WL LV since I want BLT for either the 5th and 6th or 7th and 8th.

I just called this AM and they still had nothing. But, since the BLT rooms will be more points that the BWV rooms I have booked, it doesn't hurt me to keep checking. And, I could leave my WL in place until 7 days prior.

Calling did allow me to snag a BWV room last week for the 5th and the 6th. We were at AKV but couldn't WL BWV because of the BLT WL's. So, if you want rooms different from your WL , I do think calling can help. Now, if BLT doesn't come through, I will be at BWV for the first 4 nights (garden view the first two and standard view the next two) so I won't have to change resorts, only rooms---which is okay because I want to do different dining plans for each of those stays.

I'm using the same logic. We switched to BLT studio for 12/12 Lake view a few days AFTER my 7 month window opened. But I waitlisted for MK view for the one night.

I called today to check if a MK view studio was available yet for my waitlist and there was none. BUT there was a MK one bedroom! I took it. It's a lot of points but we don't plan to stay at BLT often in the future so this one night will be our only visit there for quite awhile.

I'm WL for a 2br LV or SV for Nov 6-11...and I'm calling every day to see if I can get 2 or 3 consecutive days so I can book them and WL the others.
