WOW - That is a great quote!!!! I had not heard that one before but I definately like it!!!!

Walt had a lot of great quotes. I once had a site bookmarked with various quotes of his on general aspects of life, the different theme parks, Mickey, the movies, etc. My all time favorite is, "If you can dream it, you can do it." Followed by, "To all who come to this happy place, Welcome. Disneyland is your land."

If you do a google search on "Walt Disney" and "quotes", you'll come up with a lot of great stuff. :goodvibes

Oh come on... I think this is a good thing! I mean we sit here and listen to some people complain about how parents can't control their kids, and how kids whine and on and on and on. Now we're hearing "Well it's not fair that THEY get to go into the park and I don't!"

Sounds like a whine to me!

Seriously? It's ridiculous. Even if they did deny me because I don't have a child with me, you know, that's their right. And furthermore, I'm glad that they have this for parents with little ones. I know it can be hard to take a little one to the parks, especially with crowds so this is something extra special for them. Good for Disney!

"You're dead if you aim only for kids. Adults are only kids grown up, anyway." - Walt Disney

That is a great quote....but if I'm remembering my Walt trivia correctly it was given in the context that Walt was designing a park that children AND adults could enjoy together (meaning make the park appealling to both the adults and children). Walt was for FAMILIES. I disagree that Walt would encourage adult only places. He would encourage places both adults and children would enjoy together.

Sorry, got OT!

And that's fine. But I doubt Walt would have had any problem with designing spots that would have been primarily for adults. Technically, Club 33 was for adults and dignitaries, not children and continues to be to some extent. I've read about four biographies on the man and have no reason to believe he didn't believe in the young-at-heart.

And since when does family mean you have to have children? If I don't have children, does that mean that the group I categorize as a family isn't really a family?

My apologies for the OT response as well.
