Are discounts usually blacked out for Memorial Day weekend? I'm tentatively thinking of doing a quick trip around Memorial Day for Star Wars weekends, and a discount would be helpful!

Like others - we have been the last 2 years over Memorial Day weekend and have always had a discount - 2011 we had Free Dining & 2012 we had a % off room rate at AKL.

You get airfare for $700?

Right now, my airfare is costing me $830, without flyer miles. The $700 I saved covers most of it right now. If hubby decides he needs to drive and only me and the kids fly, it will more than cover it...

We were there in May 2011 from Friday before Memorial Day thru the following week with free dining and I believe it was offered the same week in 2012. That's our travel week do I'm really hoping it comes out for 2013. With 3 teens it saves us a ton of money!

We've booked in for a couple of weeks in the middle of May. Currently booked in the little mermaid rooms at AOA so unless a another deal comes along to make it worth it I will probably just keep our current reservation. The current room offer only saves us $200 - $300. While this is a good amount my daughter is extremely excited to be staying in these new rooms.

I'd love to see free dining as well but I've only been able to take advantage of it once in May. I'm glad to see something came out and was able to save $637.00.

Danny post4ed a couple spreadsheets with the discounted room rates and discounted ticket prices. Its somewhere on the thread starting "ladies and gentlemen..."

I'm a Disney Visa holder so when I called to figure out my options with a discount, there was no mention of a ticket discount, just room discount, which of course doesn't apply to AOA LM rooms. We considered moving, but it wouldn't save us enough to disappoint the kids! Haha! They REALLY want to stay at AOA. Moving to POR royal rooms would cost me about $200. More and the kids would still be disappointed. Any one else receive a ticket discount? At this point I am paying rack rates for a value, maybe I should rent DVC points and stay at BLT, BC, BW or AKL for the same amount of $$. Ugg. Decisions, decisions!

I called today too and asked about ticket discounts and they knew nothing of them. The pin I have is better than the Visa discount. I was hoping for a ticket discount too, but so far I'm outta luck. Oh well...

Joining this thread! We were originally going in October but we had a 35% pin code we could use in May so we decided to switch our dates to May. We are planning on May 13th-20th at the Contemporary.

The first CM I got didn't know anything about ticket discounts either, and when I asked her about it she said the only discounts were for rooms. i gave her the room+ticket code and she entered it and then was like "wow, how about that!"
