Who's hoping the 4/3 will be extended?

I'm with you guys on this!! The funny/sad thing is that our vacation is March 26-April 3rd!! The week after the deal is supposed to end!! We have never stayed onsite and it is a dream of mine!! Oh well would have loved to see what kind of deal my big ol' family of seven would get!! I have a question for you guys!! If for some reason they did extend the deal... we have a family of 7.. 5 adults and two kids....what would be the best kind of room/deal to get!? Any suggestions?! I'm really trying to keep our room price $1500-2000...staying offsite this gets us a house or condo with bedrooms and kitchen. I know it won't get us as far at a Disney resort..cause the convince is def. worth the extra cash!! Thanks for any suggestions!!

Have you tried calling CRO to see if you are eligible for the deal? At most times in the past, you had to check in by the time the deal ended and it would apply to you whole stay. It might not apply now, but it wouldn't hurt to ask in any case.

In terms of resorts to accommodate your party, sounds like you need either two hotel rooms (in any category value, moderate or deluxe) or a 2 bedroom DVC villa, which I think can sleep up to 8? You can book a villa either with cash through CRO, or rent points from a DVC member. Check out the DVC board here on DisBoards for more info on that. I believe renting points is usually the cheapest way to accommodate large parties. I've heard and read of only great experiences from people who have done this.

Count us in!!!

Hoping they either extend the 4/3 deal or at least offer a different deal. We're heading to WDW in June and I would LOVE a price break (who wouldn't)

If it extends into the summer again then we are in. We have to go when school is out, oldest ds is in high school and cannot be pulled out.

We can't go this year and it's so sad! Originally we would be there mid-October (in a few weeks) but alas.....we had to cancel. We both lost our jobs earlier this year. DH is back at work but there will be no Disney unless there is a good pin code or discount.

Just for fun I'm looking to see where to stay IF the extension does come out!

We could stay in a rental house and still go but it's not the same for us. Dh said he doesn't want to go if we can't stay onsite with the dining plan. He's ruined!

Thank you so much for the suggestion! I know this is a dumb question.. i'm still a little bit of a newbie.. what is CRO again?!

We are also checking in on the last day the deal is offered. We are checking in on March 27, - April 3, 2010. I called to make the ressie and was told that yes we would qualify, so I booked. Then I checked the rate and it's no better then booking separately. I called CRO back, let them know that I didnt' think I was getting the 4/3 deal. The girl worked it out. This is what I was told.

If I book 7 nights at the POR for the three of us and include 7 day passes with the water park option. TOTAL $2801.

When I book with the 4/3 deal my = TOTAL is $2660.

That is only a $140.00 savings, sure doesn't feel like I'm getting the deal, the room is $240.00 per night plus taxes if I book room only. Am I missing something? I thought I should be saving around $600.

Any advice????

Make sure they are not adding Park Hoppers and Trip Insurance into your cost, and also make sure the room categories are the same (ie, standard vs. water view). You should be able to go onto the Disney web site and price out 4 night vacation with the type of room and tickets you want, that should be your cost. If they tell you something different, something is wrong. They also might be charging you based on the most expensive room rate during your stay vs. the earliest room rate, if that makes sense? I think part of your stay might be regular and part might be holiday? (I just made that up!)

CRO is central reservations office (407) W-DISNEY (that's 407-934-7639). Not a dumb question at all, I should have been more specific. Good luck!

I'm hoping they extend this deal too. Last year in January they extended the 4/3 deal thru June, but the gift card wasn't offered. It would be somewhere around mid/late February before they extended this deal thru summer dates. I remember March 29th being the last day to book. I'm hoping Disney does this again (release deals early as opposed to releasing deals later in the spring). My family and I were thinking about Disneyland this year, but I would gladly change my frame of thoughts towards WDW. It's cheaper anyway. Isn't that crazy? Disneyland is more expensive. That is mind boggling. Although I’m not crazy about that heat, I’ll deal with it verses spending the kind of California dreaming money I was about to spend.
