Who's Honeymooning October 2006?

We are Disneymooning 10/29-11/4 at the BWV. I think we are planning on doing MNSSHP on the 30th. I'll be sporting a lime green bagillini and LGMH's so if you see us, please say HI! We can do picture swapping! :)

Being a Disney newbie...what is MNSSHP and LGMH? I see these abbreviations and just haven't been able to figure them out! :confused3 Help! :sunny:

I think on the Welcome boards (I don't know how to post links) there is a sticky about abbreviations that should help you out. BUT MNSSHP is Mickeys Not So Scarey Halloween Party. and LGMH is Lime Green Mickey Heads. Now, the story about LGMP is that Disney has a paint line at Home Depot that puts their paint chips in the form of Mickey Heads. When this forum was started, they decided to pick out an unusual color to identify us DISers when we are at the World so they picked Alien Green (which is a Lime Green Color) from the paint chips. So you can go to your local Home Depot (HD) and get your LGMH and place them on your person to identify yourself and maybe another DISer will spot you and come say HI. Again, there is a whole other thread (I think its on the Welcome club and I think its called our secret green club) You can read all about it -- about 300 pages worth! LOL.

Hope this helps. There are times when I don't even understand all the abbreviations, so no worries!

Thank you DisneyDoll!! I did go read about the LGMH...that's a great idea! And I found the thread with the abbreviations...VERYYYYYY helpful. :-)

Hey all, We have been married for 5 years, and will have our 22MO DS (and dragons) in tow. I think this is Honeymoon Part 8 for us....(yes, we sre DVC Members...)

10/14-10/22 then a 4 day Disney Cruise...

We are planning for October 23-28! We haven't booked it quite yet because we are 1st timers as well as honeymooners and keep changing our minds on what resort to stay at!

Animal Kingdom Lodge is in the lead! :woohoo:

Does anyone have suggestions for 1st timers? We are planning on going to each of the parks and taking the Segway Epcot tour... I know there is a fireworks show that I def. want to catch...any other suggestions?
Hi Brook, ummm, this is during the Food anb wine festival. Reservations are getting a little chancey. If you can budget it, I would suggest the Grand Floridean resort and spa , or the Polynesian. The Contemporary. It is very nice to be on the monorail.

The Yacht and Beach club, and the Boardwalk are within a boat ride/walking distance from EPCOT and also MGM. NyDW prefers the Beach Club...

If you need to drop the price, I hear Port Orleans is really nice as a mid range. Swan and Dolphin are OK, but they don't have quite the theming in the hotels (they are not owned by Disney)

You might think you have ample time, but 5 days is a short trip...not really any time for more than Disney Parks... I recommend buying a Passporter from a local book store.

MNSSHP is really great because the lines are really short. We try to get a 5:00pm reservation at Liberty Tree Tavern.

If you like Roller Coasters, and haunted houses, Universal studios IOA has Fright nights that are also ticketted events with lower crowds. Duelling Dragons is really cool at night.

Just a few thoughts for you.

ohanafamily, thanks for your suggestions! Do you think the AKL will be all booked up-that's why you are suggesting the other resorts? Now that I am in the same state as my fiance we are going to nail down our exact dates and book it all this week.

I did buy a PassPorter this past week and have read almost the entire thing already! It's a GREAT resource and has really helped me get organized and I'm even more excited about it all now! :goodvibes

Our honeymoon is short-but that is on purpose. We can't really afford a trip beyond what we are planning already, and we are headed to Israel about 2 weeks after we return. We pretty much just plan on hitting the parks-we are both huge amusement park fans. And, it gives me a perfect excuse to plan our second trip so we can hit some of the things we are going to have to bypass this time!! :rolleyes1 :teeth:
