I see the average temperature is 85 and relatively low rainfall. When were all those hurricanes last year? Is it crowded for Halloween? Is it crowded for the MNSSHP? Where would we get tickets? Anything else anyone could tell me about their stay in October would be greatly appreciated. Pro's and Con's!

We went 10/16 - 10/25 last year. It was humid, but wonderful weather. The hurricanes happened in August and September last year, though the hurricane season does go through Nov. This will be the 5th time going down in October for me. I love it. MNSSHP, Food and Wine Festival, crowds are managable. I ordered my tickets from Disney themselves. Ordered them when I made ressies. They will mail the tickets to you. Just remember, when you get them in the mail, check them immediately to make sure they are for the correct date. It is definately a great time of year to visit. I've enjoyed going then, and I will continue going in October. There is a major golf tornie around the 3rd week (guessing here), but we didn't see to much change on the park. We went on Oct 20th to MNSSHP (a week night). We walked on all the rides, we trick-or-treated the entire park. We saw the 10 p.m parade. Crowds weren't bad, and I loved seeing all the guest dressed up. Have a blast!!!!

IMO, it is my favorite time to go. There are usually some days that you might want a sweatshirt in the morning, but by 10am, you'll be looking for a place to stow it.

Biggest Pro: The crowds are usually a little lower than average, but that wasn't true in '04 because of the hurricanes.

Biggest Con: We only had one day that we felt it was warm enough to go to a water park. Unfortunately, so did EVERYONE else. A CM at BB told me that we were there on the most crowded day in 4 months.

I think I will be pleased we took the Plus options off of our tickets since I don't think we would have enjoyed water parks in cold or extreme crowds! Thanks for your feedback! We are excited to try out October!

We were in Disney early October 2004 - weather was slightly overcast and bearably humid (only one day of rain - and boy, did it rain!). Temperatures were in the high 70's and low 80's for the week. I'm not a big fan of the heat and humidity so it was perfect for me. The MNSSHP we attended did sell out (Friday, October 8) and it was VERY crowded. This may have been due to rescheduled vacations due to the hurricanes. I thought it was a great time to visit both crowd and weather wise. Have a wonderful time!!

We went in Oct 2003 and it is one of our favourite trips ever. Weather was perfect and MNSSHP is an amazing event.

DH and I also love Food & Wine. Crowds were average.

We have gone twice around the last week of October and it's my favorite time to go. The weather is great the crowds are low. MNSSHP is awesome and worth every penny ( we attend the Sun prior to Halloween). I wish we were going in Oct again this year. But DH work schedule just won't fit it, so have to go earlier.

Cons - Not a one.

Been the last part of Oct., wonderful. Low crowds,
great weather and MNSSHP.
I think it is one of the best times to go.

We went Oct24-31st/04 and found it to be quite nice.. beautiful weather, crowds weren't bad at all and the F&W Festival was awesome! I think I'm going to try to go late October as many times as possible.. Halloween decorations were great!
