Who's going to WDW in Aug???

I am jumping for joy as wel offically planned our FIRST VACATION EVER! I mean we didnt even have a Honeymoon.

We are going in Aug. Is anyone else going to be there then?

What are you celebrating or are you doing anything special?

It is our 1st anniversary/DisneyMoon and already have a mess of fun activites including Horseback riding, carriage ride and our amazing ADRs.

What is there special to do around this time?

I would love to hear everyones stories and what they are up to!!! Or if you have any suggestions or ideas for unique things to do and experience.

First off, congratulations and happy anniversary!
We will be there the 13-21. This is our third time in Sept, last year we went the first week of Oct. I absolutely love this time of year, low crowds and gorgeous weather. I think on one trip we had a couple days of afternoon showers, where we just hid out in some shops til it stopped.

My biggest piece of advice is do not try to do absolutely everything, your brain will melt down on ya . Our first trip, our dd was just 5.5, and she wasn't big enough nor interested in a lot of the rides, so we simply enjoyed our surroundings and went with the flow. Last year, quite by coincidence, we happened to catch Sugar Ray at the Eat to the Beat series in Epcot, still puts a smile on my face thinking about it. Sometimes the best memories are things that we came upon quite by chance, not planning.

Where are you staying? The biggest thing is to just enjoy yourself...you are in Disney after all!

Last year, quite by coincidence, we happened to catch Sugar Ray at the Eat to the Beat series in Epcot, still puts a smile on my face thinking about it.

We are staying at POP. We had quite an argument over it (he was in LOVE with AKL) but we figure we wont be in the hotel too much so just go with the one thats half the price.

Where are you staying?

Thanks for the advice!! My favorite thing to do is just stroll through DL. I know I wont be able to do that, but I want to enjoy myself similar to that.

We're staying at Port Orleans French Quarter this time around. The first time we went we stayed at Pop, we loved it!

Make sure to get First Visit buttons, they command alot of attention from everyone. Sept is my husband and daughters birthdays, so they wear the birthday pins....my daughter got a kick out of everyone calling her by name and saying Happy Birthday. She got a couple of free ice creams at different times too

The Citizens of Hollywood at DHS are lots of fun, they are around the main street area and the street leading to Tower of Terror and Rock n Roller Coaster. RnR is my fav ride

I'm glad to hear a good review of Pop!!! I'm worried about staying there but I have heard good things.

What I am worried about is how the transportation work and how long it takes. But I heard Pop is pretty good with that aspect too.

Thanks for the tips and love the name btw lol and you'll HAVE to tell me how POFQ is! I looked into staying there too. That was my fav mod.
