Hi!

I would like to know if anyone is getting any deals during the Easter week?

Is during Easter a bad time to go to WDW? I have two kids (6 and 4). I've been itching to go to WDW and I thought going during Easter time would be nice. Anytrhing going on during Easter that might be worth going during that time? If not, I guess I would go sometime during mid-June.

Thanks for any infos.

we are making our 8th trip to WDW, but our first for easter this year. from what I've learned, it will be very crowded at the world for the two weeks surrounding easter sunday. we are staying at POFQ($159 per night after tax: water view, disney club discount)for the first time and looking forward to it. I'm still hoping for AP rate during this time, but not holding my breath over it.

We will be staying at the Dolphin the week before Easter. I got a teachers rate of $129 for a standard room for all nights except the first. I booked it back in August.

The crowds are supposed to be very heavy, but I understand it's doable if you go early, fast pass what you can, take an afternoon break and head back to the parks for the evening.

I've heard many of the resorts have Easter Egg Hunts, but there isn't a lot at the parks. Make PS for restuarants NOW, as they fill up very quickly especially for Easter Sunday.

I have a DC rate of $159.00, for a moderate (just 2 nights) and then off to DVC for a week. I don't think there will be any great code rates for Easter week. If money is a huge issue, you might do better to wait until June. Crowds will be lighter as well. ALthough crowded, I believe it will be manageable with planning. If your are going for Easter you should make your PS's as they seemed to be going fast. Good luck with your decision and your planning!:jester:

We are headed down the Wednesday after Easter.
I wanted to take advantage of DD being off school (she is in 6th grade), even though I prefer not to deal with the crowds.
We are hoping by mid-week things will start to lighten up.

If you really don't want to deal with the crowds, I'd suggest going after April 27th.
But if you are prepared for them....it's do-able.:)

If you wait til mid-to late-June...you will be facing the "summer crowds". Not as bad as Easter, but it will quite a bit warmer too.

Our plan is to take it easy the first couple days with it being more crowded. Then by Friday of that week we should see a significant decrease in the crowds.

We haven't come across any great deals yet....we have CSR using the DC rate. But hoping for a code or AP rate.

We're doing US/IOA for a few days and then heading to WDW on the 27th. I'm hoping the crowds have thinned out by then. ;)

We will also be there first time 4/23 (Wed. after Easter) for 4 nights. Booked ASMo. for now.:D

Hi

This will be our 3rd time to Florida and it has always been at Easter. I find the weather really nice at that time, It isn't too hot or too cold. ( although last year for the first time we had rain for a few days.) Yes the parks can be crowded but if you can go away a few days before the easter holidays and go to the park before easter weekend it will be a lot better. (that is what we are doing.) We are staying in a 3 bed villa on poinciana at about £400 a week I think. But the flights were expensive.

Good luck deciding!

Glad to see you on the boards! It's been a long time.

Easter would probably be a nice, but crowded, time to visit the World. I've been there in March, and the weather was very nice (not too hot, not too cold).

Have fun!!!

Thanks everyone! (A special "Hi!" to Cali)

Still debating wether to go there for Easter or mid-June. My B-day falls on Easter Sunday, I thought "Wow" what a way to spend Easter and my B-day at WDW!! But who knows, we might just go both times! :D I am currently booked at ASMo for 2 rooms which is $244 each night for 2 rms. I am also currently booked at Caribe Royale (suite) for $159 including breakfast.

If we go both times, I will probably just stay off-sight unless I get a good deal on on-sight, which I very much doubt.

Humm, in your case, I'd probably go for Caribe Royale, assuming you'd have a vehicle with you. :) Caribe Royale is close to Disney (via a uncrowded road), and is a very nice resort. Definetly one of my choices for an off-site hotel.

You might also want to look into the Doubletree at Downtown Disney, and maybe even the Courtyard by Marriott.

(BTW, we did end up trying the Beach Club in October, and LOVED it!) :)

Since I teach I always go when school is out. This will be our 11th or 12th Easter(Ican't remember) Anyway there are large crowds but the weather is usually terrific, although it could be hot this year. We're staying at the Dolphin for $129, a great deal. We've never really been able to get discounts at Easter except last year. We had a relative staying with us who was a Florida resident. There was a discount for FL residents during Easter week in the Deluxes so we were able to stay in the Akl.

Welcome back !!!!!! I'm so glad you are planning a trip!

Caribe Royale sounds like the place to be. I would not pay $244 for 2 rooms at the AS. Add the cost of breakfast to that. If CR is close enough , you can still take breaks.

If you do stay offsite, plan your days for the "day after EE".

the new EE schedule is:
mon/fri- ak
wed-epcot
thurs/sun-mk
sat/tues-mgm

Cinderella's Gala Feast at the GF would be a nice Easter/birthday dinner.

I hope all is well with you and the kids.

We too are making our first trip during Easter. My sister is a teacher and usually works during the summer. Besides, it's too hot for us.

We haven't gone in two years and are so looking forward to this trip. We are DVC members and had a bunch of points banked so we splured on the extra points needed for Easter week.

We are are staying at OKW 2bdr on April 20th for 5 nights.

The problem is we are arriving April 18 and need two rooms. We would love to stay onsite but the rates are not looking to go our way.

We are DVC members, AP Holders and Florida residents and there just are no discounts out there at WDW.

I think we are going to look off-site.

Thanks,

Joe

Hi Fantasia!

I have some friends who went to WDW during Easter Week and they found the crowds very large. June is crowded too, but not as bad. I usually go in mid June and find the crowds bearable. Of course, you are celebrating your birthday on Easter so an Easter trip would be great too. In my opinion, there is never a bad time to go to WDW. :D

Sometimes you just have to go when its convenient with the kids schedules, work schedules etc. We are also going in the easter break. I worried alot about it at first but since I know I cannot tolerate the Summer Heat in Florida I have decided we are going in April. We will make the best of it no matter what it brings!:smooth:

We are spending Easter there for the first time. We got CBR for $109/night(or $121 tax included), with the CDN deal. DH also celebrates his birthday Easter Sunday and he has chosen to do a "drink around the world tour" in Epcot so I hope the parks are not to busy.

Okay....hockey mom.....you have peaked my interest.......HOW did you get CBR for $109/night?????????
What is the CDN deal???????

The only discount I have heard of for Easter up til now is Disney Club.

Thanks for any info you can give:D

This deal was offered Oct15th last year and expired Nov. 18th. It was a room only Cdn at par deal that was valid Feb ? to April 26th. I couldn't believe I got a discount over Easter, I fully expected CRO to tell me Easter was a blackout period.
