Who's going to San San Pedro on Sat. 5/28...post here

According to Intellicast.com sunrise will be at 5:45am and sunset will be at 7:57pm. Too bad the Magic couldn't dock during daylight hours.

does anyone know? will there be a big celebration the whole entire day...from morning (early morning when it docks?) till when it leaves for the very first west coast cruise (4 or 5 pm?) am thinkin of going. but don't think we can make it so early. was thinking maybe getting there around lunch time, have lunch & hang out? does anyone know? thanx in advance!

From what I read on the San Pedro website, the flotilla, fireworks, marching band, etc will be at 5pm (or when the ship sets sail) although they're recommending people arrive at 4pm. You can read about it on www.sanpedro.com !

Yep, we'll be there with the group we're cruising with...there will be a total of 16 - 8 adults, 8 kids. I'm sure we'll be "outstanding". HA!

I just received a voice mail message from Peter who is on the Magic. Peter said they are about 8 miles from docking at San Pedro, the Magic WILL be arriving very SOON!!!

The Magic is in San Pedro! It was nice to see the Magic slowly come into port. There's a huge Sorceror Mickey on the cruise terminal so I'm sure they have more Disney decorations inside.

I'm in the process of transferring photos so I'll post again later.

Was at Ports o' Call this afternoon to wish the Magic bon voyage on her maiden West Coast cruise! I thought it might be neat... but... it was SOOO COOL!!!! The ship was escorted by a fireboat off her bow, spraying water in huge jets every direction. The tall ship Exy Johnson followed at her stern, with a ton of jet skiers flying big multi-colored kites. There were fireworks when she left port and when she went through the breakwater. Helicopters, airplanes with banners, boats all over the place... just great!!! A real shindig. The Magic played her "When You Wish Upon A Star" horn over and over again. Mickey & Minnie were out on one of the starboard bow staircases, waving to everyone (the kids around me went crazy when they spotted them). Everyone on the Magic was standing along the top deck railings, waving Mickey hands at us and we were all standing along every railing of Ports o' Call waving Mickey hands back at them. Just really exciting!!!

I took a ton of photos, but need to download and process them. I'll see if I can get a couple up here over the weekend.

BON VOYAGE, MAGIC!!!! That was so much fun!!!
