Who's planning to be there for the first day of the celebration?

I didn't plan it that way though. I really didn't know about this until after I had booked.
I have to say I'm nervous about it being crowded. We always go between Thanksgiving and Christmas when we never have to wait in line for anything.
This was the only time we were able to go this year though.
But I sure am excited about the new rides and shows and everything!
Anyway, we'll be there May 5th-May 10th staying at POP.
I can't think of a better place for me and my kids to spend Mothers Day

We will be there from the 5th to the 15th, at the Polynesian!

Didn't plan it this way either! We booked well before anyone knew there was going to be a celebration. Oh well! I'm still going to be in WDW so It's going to be extra fun.. Crowds or no crowds here we come!!
We'll be there from May1-8th.. right now booked at POFQ however if those AP's ever come out may up-grade to AKL or the WL.. DH and I plan on being there on the 5th. if the Gates will let us in?

We'll be there 4/30 - 5/7. We booked before the 50th celebration was announced. We're celebrating my DS's birthdays (5/2 and 5/4).

Me Too! I DID book because of the event and it's also the time of year we go every year. We booked in July 2004. We'll be at Pop April 29-May 14.

Me too! May 3-10th at CT Tower - I also didn't know about the celebration at the time I booked - hope we won't be disappointed with too many crowds.

We did not know about the celibration until after we booked. We will be there on May 6th thru May 15th. I think they will probably have something the entire first week as special events at the different parks. I just hope they don't have the parks all blocked off for these events.

You said you go every year at this time. How are the crowds normally,when there isn't anything special going on?
I'm hoping that most people don't know about the celebration and aren't planning special trips around the opening week. Hey, we can hope right.
